This baseball team has some talent and is capable of making a run. They are also capable of a mediocre season. When Tanner was coach this is where he usually made the right decisions. We are 11-10 in the SEC. 9vSEc games left. Going 4-5 to finish 15-15 is no guarantee. Mississippi State and Tennessee both top 5 teams 3 games each and 3 against a top 25 Kentucky team. We could still end up with multiple scenarios. Being a top 8 seed is almost gone unless we win 7 of 9 yo finish and a deep run in the SEC tourney.. Hosting a regional is a possibility if we finish 16-14 or 17-13 and win a few tourney games. Especially with the schedule we've played. We are still 5-4 against teams that were no 1 when we played them. We have 3 wins over florida, a ein over Arkansas, a win over Vandy. Two over Georgia and LSU. Two over Ckemson. A bunch of big wins. Winning one against Mississippi sure would have helped. What does everyone think? Host a regional? Make a regional? Get left out because we lose 6-7 of the last 9 SEC gsmes? Should we change the batting lineup? The pitching lineup?

Open the stadium to full capacity to fans and that will jack up the players. Baseball is an emotional game. You have to have confidence in your abilities to play the game...
They have too many games where they can't hit and strike out 60% of the time. Then they have a few games where they snap out of it and now pitching is falling. Unless someone can start hitting and pitching, it's a bad look.
During the national champiomship runs, there were plenty of challenging and frustrating times. College baseball is a little different than many sports. If you can get hot at the end of the season and possibly host a regional, who knows what can happen. Can Kingston pull it off remains to be seen. I hope he can.. If he gets to a super regional, this weekend won't matter one bit. It's what separates the great college baseball coaches from the good ones tho.
My towel has been thrown in. If the team develops a pulse, I’ll consider retrieving it.
Man considering how early and easily a lot of you throw in the towel, I’d hate to have to depend on any of you in a backs against the wall situation.
