South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer will remain in Georgia today as he stops in on the high schools of some of the Gamecocks' priority underclassmen targets.
Beamer will be joined by offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield, tight ends coach Erik Kimrey and defensive backs coach Torrian Gray when he drops by Brookhood, home to four-star 2023 QB Dylan Lonergan. Lonergan is scheduled to visit South Carolina for junior day this Saturday.
Beamer will be joined by Satt, Gray, offensive line coach Greg Adkins and defensive line coach Jimmy Lindsey to drop in on Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, home to Gamecock targets like 2023 three-star OL Zechariah Owens, 2023 three-star DB Colton Hood, and 2023 three-star DB RJ Johnson. Owens and Hood are also confirmed visitors for Saturday.
That same crew will stop by Grayson High, home to 2024 DB Zion Ferguson and 2023 three-star DB Michael Daugherty - both have offers from South Carolina. There are a couple of 2024s there who already have four stars by their names in OL Waltclaire Flynn and ATH Joseph Stone Jr.
Beamer will also check in on North Gwinnett, Collins Hill and a loaded Buford program which is home to 2024 four-star ATH offeree K.J. Bolden.
** In addition to stopping by ELCA, Adkins will drop by several other schools in Georgia including Alpharetta, home to a couple of intriguing prospects in 2023 three-star OL Elias Cloy and 2024 DB Tyjai Hopper.
** Defensive coordinator Clayton White is scheduled to be in Soth Carolina territories for the next two days.
Thursday's visits include stops at Denmark-Olar, Barnwell, Silver Bluff, Aiken and Wagner-Salley.
Silver Bluff has an intriguing running back in 2024's Traevon Dunbar who has earned early interest.
** Wide receivers coach Justin Stepp is set to hit Florida today to check out North Fort Myers, Dunbar, Evangelical Christian, Lehigh, Palmetto Ridge and Naples. The Gamecocks have offers out to 2024 LB Myles Graham and 2023 four-star RB Richard Young.
There's also a four-star DB in Shawn Russ Jr. at Dunbar and a three-star WR at North Fort Myers in Levontai Summersett. Neither has a listed Carolina offer yet.
** In addition to being at Beamer's stops, Kimrey is scheduled to drop by Greater Atlanta Christian.
** Outside linebackers coach Sterling Lucas will be in Georgia as well, hitting Carver-Columbus, Columbus, Hardaway, Harris County and Troup County.
** In addition to the ELCA trip with the big group of coaches, Lindsey is set to drop by several other Georgia schools with Jonesboro, Lovejoy (shoutout Byron Isom), Union Grove, Ola and Griffin on the list.
** Running backs coach Montario Hardesty will be in Florida today with Orange Park, home to three-star offered OL Roderick Kearney, on the itinerary for a stop. He's also set to hit several other schools including Fleming Island, home to four-star 2023 RB Sam Singleton, who doesn't have an offer yet from the Gamecocks but you would assume is an offer candidate.
The biggest name at the schools he'll see is four-star RB Treyaun Webb, who is the No. 82 overall prospect in his class and is expected to visit the Gamecocks on Saturday.
** Defensive backs coach Torrian Gray will be at all of Beamer's stops today before hitting North Carolina on Friday.
** Special teams coordinator Pete Lembo will hit several New Jersey schools today, including Pennsauken, home to 2023 three-star ATH offeree Ejani Shakir.
