THE TRANSFER PORTAL WATCH LIST
WR Antwane Wells Jr. (6-1, 204 - James Madison - RsFr.)
(James Madison Athletics)
THE LATEST (1/6): Wells entered the portal on Wednesday morning and by the end of the day he had landed an offer from South Carolina. One would think there's a lot that could work in Carolina's favor here - Beamer's Virginia connections, the need at receiver, the chance to play with Spencer Rattler - but it's too early for concrete information on where he may be leaning. Auburn, North Carolina, Miami, Mississippi State and Virginia Tech have all offered.
THE SKINNY: One of the top receivers in all of FCS, Wells had a massive redshirt freshman season accumulating 83 catches for 1,250 yards and 15 touchdowns, all JMU single-season records. A Highland Springs graduate from Richmond, Va., Wells ranks third all-time at JMU in career receiving touchdowns (21), ninth in career receiving yards (1,853) and ninth in career receptions (116) in a little over a season and a half played. Prior to enrollment at JMU, he spent a season at Fork Union.
LB West Weeks (6-2, 220 - Virginia - Fr.)

(Geoff Burke/USA Today Sports Images)
THE LATEST (1/5): Weeks landed an offer from South Carolina on Tuesday evening and he's certainly a prospect to keep an eye on where the Gamecocks are concerned. LSU and Southern Cal have also offered since he entered the portal. The Gamecocks are recruiting his younger brother, Whit Weeks, a 2023 athlete who has a South Carolina offer and is scheduled to visit on Jan. 15.
THE SKINNY: As a true freshman this past season, the 6-foot-2, 220-pounder collected 31 tackles, including a TFL and a sack before entering the transfer portal. A Watkinsville, Ga. native, Weeks graduated from Oconee County High School, the same school where Gamecocks' quarterback and former and likely future GA Zeb Noland's father is the head football coach.
DE Terrell Dawkins (6-4, 245 - N.C. State - So.)
(N.C. State Athletics)
THE LATEST (1/5): Gamecock Central is hearing there is heavy mutual interest between South Carolina and Dawkins. He is definitely a player to keep an eye on.
THE SKINNY: Dawkins put together a huge true freshman season two years ago, collecting 36 tackles, including nine TFLs and five sacks. A preseason injury severely limited him in 2021 and he played in just five games.
S Devonni Reed (6-0, 195 - Central Michigan - Sr.)
(Central Michigan Athletics)
THE LATEST (1/5): Reed has seen quite a bit of attention since he hit the portal as schools are looking for a solid, ready-made starter. South Carolina has offered, as have Texas, Colorado, Louisville, Mississippi State, Wisconsin and Virginia Tech.
THE SKINNY: A veteran with 43 games and four total seasons under his belt, Reed has one year of eligibility left due to 2020 being a COVID year. Reed collected 281 tackles and 3 interceptions from his safety spot during his career with the Chippewas.
S Khari Gee (6-3, 190 - Notre Dame - Fr.)
THE LATEST (12/28): Chris Clark reports that South Carolina is a program to watch with Gee and that a visit sometime after the bowl game is a possibility. Several programs in the southeast have been in contact.
THE SKINNY: A former four-star prospect with offers from all over, Gee redshirted this past season for Notre Dame and will have four years of eligibility left. He didn't play at all on defense or special teams but will still likely be highly pursued considering that he had over 30 offers out of high school. Considered more of a strong safety, Gee originally flipped from LSU to sign with Notre Dame on the final day of the early signing period in 2020.
WR Isaiah Neyor (6-3, 210 - Wyoming - Fr.)

(Troy Babbitt-USA TODAY Sports)
THE LATEST (1/5): This one hasn't taken off like we thought it might as South Carolina has not offered Neyor, though many other programs have. Neyor is taking visits to Tennessee and Southern Cal and recently landed an offer from Texas, his homestate team.
12/23: Gamecock Central reports there is some mutual interest between South Carolina and Neyor, though the Gamecocks haven't extended an offer yet. Washington State, UTSA, Utah State and Nevada have all offered.
THE SKINNY: Neyor entered the transfer portal on Dec. 22 after catching 44 passes for 878 yards and 12 touchdowns this past season. The Fort Worth, Tx. native is a big-bodied receiver with a knack for making plays down the field.
** The Transfer Portal Watchlist will be updated with the latest on prospects who there is confirmed mutual interest with or that there's a prior connection to where it makes sense for them to be on the watch list.
