SOS-hall of fame coach who always said he would never coach into his 70s, and is proving it
SOS, Jr.-greatest accomplishment thus far is being a member of the lucky sperm club
Elliott-world's highest paid cheerleader, from App State to USC
Botkin-from high school to USC
Adams-a UNC castoff
Ward-see last year
Hoke-see this year
etc,etc, etc.
Is it any wonder that we are out coached each week? Not to mention out recruited...

Coach needs to clean house on the defensive side and do some serious evaluation on the offensive side. Some hard decisions will have to be made for next year.

He's right looking at the major players Alabama, Tigers,Ohio St ,etc.

We have Everett Sands, too. He's a dynamite recruiter we got from the Citadel. He used to play golf down at the ocean course with the coaching staff, so I'm sure he was the man for the job.

If Spurrier decided to buckle down, clean house and recruit like hell, we'd be back in 3 years.

That's not going to happen though.

Sarcasm meter! Yeah, he sucks, too. Notice how the RBs get worse the more he coaches? Must be related to Ward.

I don't think a 70 year old coach can't pull that off, especially one that was never known for recruiting "like hell" even in his prime.

we suck, nuff said. Don't take up for this garbage on the field. Carolina fans deserve better than this. I don't car what we didn't 3 years ago. fact, this year we don't belong in the SEC.

The sad part is, Spurrier is gonna have the same trouble hiring premier coaches as he now has getting premier players:
Everyone knows that he will retire in a few years and no one wants to pull up roots, move their family for a coaching job that will have them out of a job in a short time.
Maybe young, unproven coaches would be willing to do that, but not the cream of the crop, proven coaches.

It ain't the coaching. It is a recruiting problem. Coaching football ain't exactly rocket science. Few of these guys are the geniuses some label them as, neither are some of them idiots as they get labeled when things go south. It's all about talent folks. If you don't have it, you just don't look very good.

He's not going to do that. It should have been done last year and wasn't.

And, those are the very reasons Tanner has to step up and do whatever necessary to save our program. There really is nothing else he can do at this point.

Kirby Smart or PJ Fleck from Western Michigan....let Mangus take the reins the rest of the season....couldn't be any worse...

In addition to the poor coaching, the team's demeanor and intensity is lacking. They shuffled off the field at the end of the first half while Mizzou jogged off together. Watching football more than usual today in the rain and we fail the eyeball test terribly. Teams like Indiana show much more heart and fight than us. We seem to be going through the motions.

Only Mangus is a keeper

Pretty much agree. For whatever reason you want to pin it on (recruiting, injuries, etc), we ain't got the horses this year..
