Our 2019 Home Football Schedule is as good as it will ever be.

Hopefully UNC will continue to suck. We need to blow the Heels out in Charlotte on August 31.

Charleston Southern on September 7 will be a nice "warm up" game for both our players and our fans. Our starters need to be on the bench by the middle of the third quarter. We need to be at full strength against Alabama. If our Administration has any sense, this game will be a NIGHT GAME.

We host Alabama (Sept. 14) and Clemson (Nov. 30) which are both playoff teams and are currently ranked # 1 and # 2 in the country. You can't beat # 1 and # 2 if you don't play # 1 and # 2. We have a bye week going into the Clemson game. (Yes, we want Bama!)

At the top of my "To Do" List is to BEAT KENTUCKY (Sept. 28). Are our players in a fog? Do our players not understand how frustrating it is to lose to Kentucky 5 years in a row? Our players seems to play their most lackluster, just going through the motions game against Kentucky every year. That has to stop. WE ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO BEAT KENTUCKY!!!

We have a bye week before we play at Georgia (Oct. 12). We have to be more competitive against Georgia. Having an extra week to get healthy and to prepare should help us.

We have one (1) home game in October and that is Florida (Oct. 19). We gifted a win to Florida in 2018. (Can we claim that donation on our tax returns?) That cannot happen in 2019. I consider Florida to be another "must win" game for the Gamecocks.

Coming into November, we have a very good chance of being 6 - 2. Vandy at home (on Nov. 2) comes at a good time.

Appalachian State (on Nov. 9) is a very good out of conference game. App. will have 15,000 fans (and maybe more) at Williams-Brice. App has great fans and they believe in their team. App is 10 - 2 this year and won the inaugural Sun Belt Conference this year. (App is ranked # 32 right now while USC is ranked # 45 right now.) (Virginia, by the way, is ranked # 53.) If we play well, we will beat App. If we don't, we won't. This will be a good win for USC if we beat App. App plays at North Carolina on Sept. 21 and I expect App to beat UNC. App could be undefeated when App comes to Columbia.)

Clemson on Nov. 30. Enough said. (Yes, we want Clemson...bad!)
