Vehicle with some altitude

Wow. About 10 years ago I was going to NC and I was on 77 north of Charlotte. There was a group of cars that passed me going at least 80. I could see them ahead of me trying to weave around some trucks. Then I saw a puff of smoke and one of them flipped up and over in the air and landed in the grassy median. It looked like two cars clipped each other. Just the 2 cars ... the rest kept going. I pulled over to the right but I decided I might cause another accident. There were people going south who stopped and were down trying to help. Most of the traffic didn't even slow down.
