WBB Destanni Henderson commits to Gamecocks

Thats great !!! Dawn continues to prove how fortunate we are to have her here. The thing that impresses me so much is her ability to lay a true lasting foundation for years to come. So far there has been no lettup or sighns of slowing down. She truley has the Lady Gamecock Basketball house in order and a real source of pride for all of us.

Coach Staley just keep rolling..Destanni is a 5 star point guard with and explosive first step and great ball skills...Ranked top10 in ESPN 2018 top 100 players

Thanks for posting!!
Welcome aboard Destanni !!!
I liked this part the best:
USC signee LaDazhia Williams, a five-star forward who plays for Lakewood Ranch, congratulated Henderson on her decision before the two matched up against each other.

Florida's Top 2017 & 2018 both headed to South Carolina as of today! From Florida's two top travel programs

Indeed...Did you know this is Dawns first top 10 HS commitment since A'ja Wilson and Jatarie White in 2014...Great thing is Coach Staley and her staff are in great shape with 3 more top 10 recruits including the number 1 overall player...
I give you credit lawcal, you stay informed. Your post was like Christmas all over again

If boom can equal Dawns recruitting, the playoffs will be renamed The Gamecock Invitational.Hopefully all our coaches can catch her and keep up with recruiting

that has to be the objective...our fans need to remember how tough the going was when Coach Staley first got here..I remember fans beefing about how much money she was paid to coach women's basketball..now you see what happens when you invest in the best, get out of the way and let coaches coach...i believe Coach Muschamp can achieve similar success, if we stay behind the program..To recruit on the level Coach Staley recruits on he will have to get the program to 9-10 wins per year seasons...

The other thing Coach Staley deserves credit for is her ability to evaluate...Tiffany Mitchell was not nearly as highly recruited as Aja, Alaina, Cuevas, Harris and some others...But she worked hard and was 2 time SEC POY...At the end of the day, evaluation is still the key to building a great program

I also saw where she played for the U17 USA team with ESPN 2018 #1 recruit Olivia Nelson-Ododa. Coach Staley is recruiting her hard as well.
