They really need to make up the Ole miss game to stay in the running for SEC regular season championship
Why couldn't Dawn play Ole Miss as a warm up game prior to UCONN's game?
The Gamecocks and Rebels were originally scheduled to play on Jan. 2 but had to postpone due to a combination of positive COVID-19 tests, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the Ole Miss program. UConn, which has also suffered several BIG EAST game postponements, agreed with the schedule change.
"Dawn reached out to me about postponing the series for this season," UConn head coach Geno Auriemma said. "It's a priority for South Carolina to make up SEC games, so this is the best decision for them right now. We know a lot of fans were excited for this game, but we look forward to continuing the series with South Carolina in future seasons."
Thursday's game was the last in the previous home-and-home agreement with UConn, and a new agreement for the next two seasons was signed this summer. Staley and UConn head coach Geno Auriemma will continue conversations through the offseason to determine any changes to the home/away rotation of those games. The Gamecocks and Huskies have played every regular season since the 2014-15 season, and that streak continues despite this week's cancellation as the two met on Nov. 22 in the Bahamas. "But I have always said that our conference season, and especially our goal of another SEC championship, is more central to our program.
Although, I was looking forward to that game we've already gotten our revenge from last season so I'm good. This is the best decision for our conference standings. Besides, Ole Miss is playing good right now and hopefully the future Dallas Wings - Austin brings it.

Regrettable but correct. Hate to give up another certain win over UConn since they have mainly owned us, but this is the way to go.
We have played already. We will likely play again. No need to play them now with the need to reschedule. All good.
I believe we help UCONN playing this series during the conference season. Geno needs it because his conference schedule is so weak. On the other hand, the SEC is tougher than ever (Ole Miss is better than UCONN right now). If Dawn were ruthless, she would push to play this game in the pre-conference season.
I doubt she will stay in the draft that long. Atlanta desperately needs a big so she'll probably end up there. Unless they decide to go with someone like an Ayoka Lee instead.
Aw man don't kill my dreams. LOL! Yeah, I know 1-3 is a possibility for her. Would love to have her cause Charlie Collier is not it.
Anything can happen, especially with Indiana picking 2nd in the draft. They are likely bound to screw up their pick so there's a definitely a chance she could still be on the board or even traded to Dallas
Poor Indy. Somehow, I don't see them screwing it up again. They've already waived their mistake from last yr. Howard or Smith should be the only names on their minds.
