of Cory Helms. The guy was a Freshman All American in major division-I football. Not All-ACC, All-American. Even though he was 3 stars out of high school, I think freshman all america qualifies him at least as a 4 star equivalent, perhaps even 5 star. I mean really, how many freshman all americans have we had? Worth celebrating in my view. Thanks Cory for becoming a Gamecock!

Agree Iceman, and the ACC has put their share of OL into the NFL.

This site was pretty loud about his "commitment" at the end of last week when it was announced.

It's hard for me to see a transfer from another school as a commitment when he's already played two years at the FBS level.

Doesn't he have two years to play two? Of course after sitting out a year?

Sounds like they will try to petition so he can play this year.. His grandmother isn't doing well and coming to SC he will be closer to his family.... It is a long shot but worth the try.. Either way it is a great pick up...
