We spoke with special teams coach Ray Rychleski following Monday's practice.
He was asked about punt returners.
He said they started with eight return candidates, have cut the list to six and would like to cut it some more.
Right now, the six candidates are Captain Munnerlyn, Chris Culliver, Akeem Auguste, C.C. Whitlock, Dion Lecorn and Kenny McKinley. Of course, Munnerlyn and McKinley are out this spring.
Rychleski went on to say, "That's an area that we've got really good competition. ... We've got six guys that I think can take it to the house on any given occasion."
Note: Joe Hills and Jason Barnes were catching punts at one point during practice last night, but Rychleski said they are not return candidates.
Scott will have a complete report at some point.
