Have to take what you can get when the top in state guys follow the "shoes." Basketball recruiting at USC is a strange beast to say the least. Sometimes it's almost comical.
The young guys want to quickly get out of town. It onily makes sense (to me) if they don't care to come back to SC after graduation.
Local friendships, contacts and fan name recognition can be invaluable to a young man starting career after bb. Guess they all envision themselves as future NBA stars.
