Not a terribly new story. Haven’t seen if there’s been an update. Mom is upset after her daughter is spanked at school. Understandable. Buuuuuut…the mom videoed it. So she didn’t try to step in and stop it. But she’s mad that it happened.

She should be fired. Can’t see how this particular punishment helps anything. She degraded a 6 year old girl…to me that was the worst part. The beating was probably too hard for a 6 year old. I personally wouldn’t want anyone striking my child. Too many weirdos out there today to trust others with that.

No way I would recorded this and let it happen though. I’m all about discipline but this principal is awful at her job. After talking to my daughter like that she wouldn’t have laid a finger on my daughter. The mother shouldn’t have allowed it either, but not sure what options she has as far as schooling.

I thought I’d watch the video and take the principal’s side to be honest. But she lost her cool for sure and should never speak to a 6 year old like that.

this is probably true. Which is so sad. The daughter got a spanking from someone she should not of got a spanking from while her mother stood by and watched it happen. So sad for the child.

I did. But school was a different beast back in those days. There’s not a chance in Hades I would turn over the discipline of my child to public school administrators today.

Yep, there was a very simple rule in our house. You get a spanking at school you get a spanking at home. No questions no arguments no explanations.

I see that point. I tried to think about it if I were in her shoes…the mom should’ve just taken her daughter and left. Absolutely.

But she might have felt an altercation would take place and at a school…they are going to side with the admin every time. She might have feared she’d be arrested. It did sound like they had words before it happened. She should’ve left right away. No doubt. I hope she would’ve handled this differently in hindsight.

either way, the Principal should be fired. It’s also possible she’s doing this to profit. No doubt about it. Very likely that room was full of scumbags and the 6 year old girl was the victim. Probably why she’s having the issues she’s having.

I did multiple times a d I turned out better for it. And if I got paddled at school then I got paddled at home or serious restriction. But made me learn to respect adults. There is almost zero respect from some kids towards adults which then leads to zero respect for cops and all authority. When you learn that being dumb and doing dumb stuff as a kid has consequences, then you learn real quick that it's gonna hurt when you are being bad.

While I'm not opposed to a good paddling, I can't believe anyone would try that in this cancel culture crazy period?
