You're also gonna be surprised by a couple more receivers we already have on the squad. That will always happen when you get an elite QB behind center. He makes everyone better
I hope he comes back but after being used as a decoy in the bowl game, I wouldn't be surprised if he went pro. If he does come back, it is win/win for us and him.
I forgot all about Jalen Brooks, I'll keep my expectations low until he proves it but I could see a scenario where the light goes off for him and we get him involved in the vertical passing game.
He was hurt, he fair caught every punt, and I don’t think he was targeted on a single pass. I truly think you’re right he was a decoy but I think it was because he was injured.
I remember only one fair catch but I haven't gone over all the stats. Seems like the rest of them hit the ground. If we aren't going to field a punt why put anybody back there? Go all out to block the punt.
I think Rico Powers can have an impact. Primarily a RB for Benedictine he averaged around 10 ypc and was a dangerous receiver out of the backfield, then transferred to Hopewell Charter in Atlanta as a WR. Still highly rated and recruited as a WR. Would guess he needs to improve his route running as many converted RBs do.
Is he still on the team? I know he left during the season for personal reasons and then they stopped giving updates.
