I've heard a lot of people on here talk negatively about the OL. So I started to look at who we have. We have a good bit of highly recruited players, Cody Waldrop, DJ Park, Donnell Stanley, and think one of the Staynik? twins were too. A lot of players on the o-line with experience, especially bc of injuries last year. I don't see what Elliot's excuse will be if they don't play well. Unless we're devastated by injuries. Am I missing something?

You can't teach superior size/speed. Our entire team looked slow and bogged down last season. Our only way of defeating anyone was to outscore them. The real question mark is on the D.

We weren't that good last year with 2 players who were drafted. We missed a ton of 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 last year. It seemed in the fourth quarter our OL play was not good. I don't expect it to be better this year and maybe slightly worse. We do have talent though.

We have a couple of guys that play that are not sec players. Combined with injuries and attrition, I'm far from sold they'll be a strength.

I think we missed those 3rd and 1's because we're very predictable on those plays. If there's anything I don't like about Spurrier's play calling, it's on short yardage situations. Seems like Zone read every time.

The year Newton got injured was unreal. It looked like they picked random guys out of the phone book and threw them on the o line.

O line play last season wasnt all that great anyway, so im optimistic about this years....i dont think it can be any worse with who we have

My expectation is the same as the last couple of years... the Oline will be below average. We've not had really consistent above average Oline play yet, since SOS has been here, so why should this year be any different? Seems like every year after the season starts we are moving guys around trying to find some combination that works decent.

Who knows. It's pointless trying to guess what kind of team we're going to have. I've learned my lesson after last year.

Like I said...the speed is what WE lack. WE can't teach that. We have to polish the turd and hope for the best.

Sincerely,
Shane Morgan
