Who won...conner or pourier?

That is a gruesome leg break Connor suffered. May be a career ender.

Porier or wtf ever was kicking his ass before. Can't wait to see him fight the dude with the highlights..

Why is McGregor worshipped by some people? How many times has he been arrested? 3 , 4 . Why do some put people like him on a pedestal?

What exactly does him being arrested have to do with his mma career. In the end the man is a hell of a fighter and his shit talking has always made it fun. Hope he can fight back but at this time I think Father Time is going to get him.

He's a good fighter, but he represents a segment of people who wish to do and say whatever they want and not care about others being offended. You know, the group that thinks others are offended just because people told them to be.

I always got the impression his being offensive was more of a publicity stunt. He made more money being a villan.

Not this time- apparently he was still trash talking the guy who just beat him AND HIS WIFE as they hauled him out a stretcher. That is far from gracious in defeat.

I wouldn’t say the guy beat him. Yes technically he did but it’s like winning a drag race because the opposite car left to fast. Is you car really faster?

Exactly. It's like WWE people love to hate him and he laughs all the way to the bank. He advertises for tunnel to towers and i appreciate that
Floyd Mayweather does the exact same thing and people call him stupid for it. He's not stupid. Reckless with money yes, stupid no.

Yeah, but combat sports are about disabling your opponents physically. It is believed he hurt the ankle trying to kick Pourier earlier in the fight and Pourier blocked it and heard a crack… In some way he helped inflict the damage that won the fight for him…

All sports have an element of this. If you win a Football game when the star’s WB was injured you still win. Regardless- it sounds like Connor was being rather classless about the whole thing. He was once the best in the sport… I don’t think he is any more and be is becoming bitter about it.

No he knows he’s not the best but his antics make him money and people buy in to it. Floyd, truth be told, is not the best boxer anymore either but they can still make money. I think Connor is just in money making mode. He doesn’t care if he wins or loses as long as he is making money. The trash talking makes him money.

McGregor is too much a one-dimensional fighter. He's basically a boxer fighting MMA. He's not good enough to be a full-time boxer, but he is decent at it, but generally if you can keep from being taken down into submission holds in MMA, and you're a quality stand-up striker with your fists, you'll hurt opponents.

McGregor always fought with that wide-ass open stance that discourages opponents from trying to attack his legs for takedowns, and he just swings away. In MMA, you don't have to render your opponent unconscious every time, you just have to render him helpless for a few seconds, and the fight's yours.

Just about every loss McGregor has is via submission, with the exception of the last 2 losses to Pourior: in the 1st loss, Pourior's kicks were so fast and consistent, he pulverized McGregor's lead leg, making it impossible for McGregor to mount his typical offense off of it. But the very last thing McGregor wants to do is have the fight go to the mat, because all he's ever been is a one-dimensional MMA fighter.....

Why is a violent, unstable foreigner that has actually committed violent crime in this country even allowed back? We need to build a wall around Conor McGregor.

Dustin has a more complete game. Thought he would win regardless of the broken leg. In a way McGregor should be thankful because he now has an excuse. His time is done, he cant back up his mouth anymore. I have more sympathy for guys like Cowboy and Chuck who fought well beyond their prime. Connor might get another shot but I think he should retire.

I hadn’t watched UFC in years, but it seems so boring these days. None of the fights had any type of grappling. It was all just boxing with smaller gloves.

Poirier was up but that was a close fight until the break. If Poirier doesn't (illegally) climb the cage to free himself up from a pretty tight guillotine, it could have gone the other direction.

I lost any respect for Conor when he sucker punched an almost 80 year old man in a bar . After that I was more than happy to watch Khabib and Dustin beat his ass . Khabib freaking destroyed him.
