Clem like it or not would beat LSU by as many as they want to. LSU is a mediocre at best team and Clem would destroy Fournette and their run game and LSU has a terrible qb. Can't answer so deflect. They will be ranked tomorrow top 5 and ahead of ever SEC team but maybe one. Trying to make yourself feel better about our situation by trying to tear them down is counterproductive and about like sticking your head in the sand. Fact is we have to actually accept where they are so we can do everything we can to build ourselves back up to compete with them and hopefully take a strong hold in the series again cause right now they have passed us by
I think LSU would beat Clempson. Playing all these weak ass teams will haunt them eventually. I do think the end up in the playoff though. They are very good. They have a bunch of good players from SC. SOS Jr really screwed the pooch. It would be a season saver if we could pull the upset against them.

Truth is that If Clemson beats FSU, they will have wins against two quality opponents and a chance to play in a championship game. They're good and very close to elite. A playoff win over a Bama, LSU, or other top team seals elite status.
It's about time all of you guys quit pimping the SEC and worry about South Carolina. The SEC isn't your conference. You are still considered a junior league member by the established conference powers. There isn't a soul outside of Columbia that sees you as anything other than a perennial also ran that managed to attract a few transcendent talents at the same time and put together a nice run. No one... and I mean NO ONE in the conference is wondering what happened to South Carolina. The prevailing opinion is that the good years was the anomaly. What you see now is far more typical.

You seriously give no respect to Notre Dame? They crushed USC last week who crushed Utah this week. I understand that doesn't mean much but ND seems legit. And Clemson beat them. Actually killed them until they took their foot off the gas.
I agree that SC has a chance to upset Clemson this year. The rivalry game is always the scariest. But I think Clemson is strong enough this year that they will pull it out. We'll see. I for sure think Clemson would beat LSU but that's just my opinion.
Clemson is the best ever to field a football team. I don't know why other schools even bother to suit up on Saturday. We should just say the hell with playing the games and hand the trophy to Clemson every year. They are so awesome and can't be beat. Even the NFL fears Clemson and they could win the Super Bowl if they wanted to.

Cu is playing better than us for sure. But to say they have played anyone worth a darn is a stretch. ND is the best win so far and that's all on the schedule. Including us. Not a strong SOS at all.

Stanford (Bullies)
Baylor (no defense, but can score on anyone it seems)
TCU (See above - Baylor 2.0)
Ohio State (i guess. They seem to struggle against everyone)

If neither's not an option I'd prefer clemson win it. I have quite a few clemson friends and they'd be happy, I know a few OSU fans ... they're friendly enough but act too much like Tom Weiskopf to suit me, i.e., they're fine when things go well but terrible to be around when they don't. So what you didn't win the Masters, pimento cheese is still cheap and 2nd alone in 2015 would still have paid $1MM+. 50th place paid $25 grand. Be happy.

Not so. You don't play the other SEC teams in a vacuum. If you circle those "one or two teams" on your schedule that you think will be tough games, then you are sure to lose some others you hadn't counted on. Every team in every conference gears up for the "big" games. The difference in the SEC is that after you play that big emotional game against UGA, Auburn, or LSU, you don't get to follow it up with a road trip to Wake Forest or Boston College to collect yourself. You follow it up with a road trip to Gainesville, Knoxville, College Station, or Fayetteville - big and hostile environments with teams that have enough talent to beat you. These are places that you don't just roll into expecting to walk out with a win - you have to earn it.
Is Clemson a better team this year overall than Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, and Texas A&M? Probably. But would they go undefeated against those four (3 on the road) sandwiched between games against LSU and the rest of our SEC schedule? Heck, no.
Make no mistake, Clemson is good this year and we suck. The differences between our two teams' record can't be explained by the schedule and I'm not trying to do that. But to say there are only two teams in the SEC better than Clemson and, therefore, only two games they could lose, ignores the cumulative effect of playing a tougher schedule week in and week out.
