is there some kind of rule? Why can't they show all
12 or so hours of it?

I think that's just what Billy Payne, et al decree. By the time it comes on at 3, most of the action has occurred & the last hour from 7-8 is practically useless.

Well it wasn't that long ago that they wouldn't show the back nine. So I think they'll add it eventually.

They buy into "A tradition like no other" stuff too literally.

For years, even on Saturday and Sunday, they only showed the back nine. No one ever knew what 1 through 9 even looked like. Very strange, but they were so powerful and such a huge TV draw that they mandated to CBS, rather than the other way around.

One tradition I do like is that their concessions are incredibly reasonable, especially in comparison to other palces. I suspect they have mandated prices. Usually that's a recipe for disaster, but it works for the consumer in this one instance.

Don't remember what he said, but Gary McCord was banished for a remark that, IMO, wasn't that bad.
Edit: He likened the greens as "smoothed with bikini wax."

IMO, they want a Masters ticket to mean something now and in the future, something extra for the patrons, where they don't wind up sitting at home watching it on tv and if you've ever been down there you will understand that, it is magical!

Oh, and the club likes to maintain control, always have, which is their choice!

Masters.com starts live video at 10:45 am from Amen Corner. Adds more live streams throughout the day. I've been streaming it to TV with air play. It's actually better than the network coverage. No commercials.
