Why did our game time change?

We were already slotted to play @ Noon EDT.
Was it to make it more convenient for LSU fans to attend?

Because LSU fans have a 5 drink minimum.
Seriously, it may have been ESPNs call or LSU didn't believe ticket sales for an 11am game would fly.

The LSU AD didn't want it as an 11AM game their time. He knew the crowd would be very small if they kicked at that time so he pushed for a later time. As it is, last night LSU had only sold 30,000 of the tickets. They are thinking maybe around 50,000 after today.

Ticket sales were open only to season ticket holders until 5 o'clock yesterday then they opened it to the general public. Logistically getting everything in place for LSU from concessions to police by early Saturday wasn't possible. People will also be picking up tickets that day. They wanted as much time as possible. Under the circumstances it's hardly unreasonable.

The thought is ticket sales will be between 60-70000. It's going to be very hot which won't help. Hope that clears things up

Some fans might had made other plans since there game was originally a road game for LSU
