Who's going to coach their pathetic baseball program? Didn't they say, after we won the CWS in 10 and 11, that nobody cares about college baseball?

I am on Clemson message boards almost every day. You have the occasional fan who care about football only but that is not the norm. Most people on the rivals site follow football extremely closely, and basketball, and baseball pretty closely. There are very few if any CU fans who would say that nobody cares about college baseball.

Doc.....Are you serious? It was all over Tigernet, when Carolina was playing for the championship in 10, 11 and 12. It really chapped their Azz, when we won twice.....eliminating you and being the last champion at Rosenblatt in 2010? First champion at TD Ameritrade? You Taters were beside yourselfs. Favorite phrase from a Tater...."Nobody cares about college baseball"! They ought to study y'all. You're psychotic!

Um! Pathetic baseball program? Really? But then again, we elected Obozo to a second term. This country is on a 5th grade level. Pathetic!!

Yes.....I call them "pathetic". I don't really care what you think about them. We've played for the CWS championship six times (okay, so we're 2-4) them ZERO.

Again, I am on the Rivals and Scout sites fairly often, and I don't remember seeing a significant number of posters suggesting that baseball is not important. I can't speak for other sites, but you will get a few idiots to post anything. I think the vast majority of CU fans follow the three major men's sports to some degree. Football is # 1 no doubt at CU and at SC, but baseball is important to me personally and to the vast majority of CU fans. Winning a nattie in baseball is a tremendous accomplishment and winning back to back is awesome. Tanner deserves tremendous credit for what he did and I take my hat off to him. I would love for CU to win one some day. If anyone ( CU fan or not) tries to diminish what Tanner accomplished, then that person is a fool.

Clemson fans do care about baseball, they just decided to not care about it for 3 or 4 years. If you don't believe that, you're being dishonest. Hundreds of threads began to pop up on Tnet about "non revenue sports". Clemson fans began to compare it to college hockey. They were butthurt as hell.

Yea Fork.....Especially when we eliminated them, the two times they came closest to playing for the championship (02, 10).

Let me tell you something Doc.....The difference between a SC and Clemson baseball fan is....If Clemson had played for 3 straight Championships (and won two of them), you would NEVER hear a Gamecock fan say "College baseball doesn't matter". It's been important since Bobby Richardson agreed to be out coach. Clemson on the other hand? Well, we know how they acted.

i know for me and those close to me, we have always cared for the baseball program and it does mean a lot...i hate what scar has accomplished, however i do respect it....its tough to say but imo scar has been the best baseball program of the last 15 years in all of college baseball...2 nc's and played for it 4 times...that speaks for itself
