Just do your #$%" job and get this bill passed or get out of the way and let someone who is competent do your job for you. Rally both sides of the Senate or resign.

Your post literally makes no sense whatsoever. It isn't like check-the-box, we passed a bill. It has to be a bill that the House will approve of and that does what is needed.

Thank you for the seventh grade civics lesson. They could use a sharp fella like you in Washington. It was implied by the phrase rally both sides of the Senate that the bill would pass the muster of both houses if both republicans and Democrats in the Senate sign off on it.

By the sound of his displeasure on the floor yesterday, he/they had been working on this bill for weeks and it was all ready to go. Both parties had agreed to it in good faith, and then here comes Pelosi to add ridiculous non-essential pork to it.

He should have been prepared for her objection to the mnuchin money grab. A good Senate Majority leader would have anticipated this and shot mnuchin down.

It’s call politics. Drain the swamp. Let’s start fresh. America deserves better. Let’s get the money puppets that’s controlling the politicians out of the way. Look how fast the Clinton foundation depleted when she was not in office.

Hell, from the standpoint of a majority leader I completely agree - most of the time he is worthless. Not a fan. But I think the frustration comes from the fact they thought this was all but done, and then you have folks playing games, playing with lives. Never let a good crisis go to waste.

The bill McConnell had was only done with Republicans. He refused to include Democrats in the discussions. Both parties had not agreed. Mnuchin and Schumer who are good friends are negotiating the bill without McConnell. They are very close to a bill. What McConnell did today was theatrics and not related to the real negotiations going on. Don’t believe everything you see on tv

Please refer to him by the name he has earned: That’s Moscow Mitch to you.

"At the insistence of Democrats, who were participating in drafting the bill before bipartisan talks broke down over the weekend, more than $100 billion is being included for hospitals and some $250 billion to boost unemployment insurance. The sweeping economic package is designed to last for 10 to 12 weeks, after which the administration could revisit whether it would seek additional assistance from Congress."
