--Proud of the team of finding a way to win and kept fighting.
Offensive Player of the Game: Bentley, who Muschamp said had his "best game as a Gamecock."
Offensive lineman of the game: Donell Stanley
Effort guy: Deebo Samuel
Defensive player of the game: Keisean Nixon
Defensive lineman of the game: Javon Kinlaw
Effort guys: T.J. Brunson and RJ Roderick
Ballhawks: Jaycee Horn, D.J. Wonnum, Brunson
Special teams player of the game: Keisean Nixon
He also went out of his way to recognize: Kiel Pollard for playing all four phases of special teams, Israel Mukuamu, Josh Vann for playing receiver and kickoff coverage, Blake Camper, Mon Denson, RJ Roderick, Damani Staley and Jaylin Dickerson
--He's pleased with the team's nine explosives, which is one of the higher totals in SEC play so far.
--In terms of naming Mon Denson the starter at running back with other guys banged up, Muschamp said it comes down to who practices the best. Said it's been a frustrating year for Denson, who's battled a hamstring injury this season.
--Jaylin Dickerson came in and did well from an "assignment standpoint," which is always a concern for younger guys getting their first extended action. Said the team will continue to build on the performance but did some nice things.
Muschamp emphasizes again how serious a surgery Dickerson had, saying he missed about 10-12 months of lifting after that.
--Team talked today about the rotation at safety since they are so paper thin right now. Rashad Fenton can go play safety if need be if the team needs him to.
"We'll make some preparations past that."
--Sherrod Greene was banged up a little bit, which is why Staley came in for big chunks. Said the young guys like Staley need to step up so starters don't have to play 90-plus snaps a game.
--Asked about returning to Gainesville again, Muschamp said there's no hard feelings between him and Florida. Said he didn't win enough, and if that happens coaches usually get fired. Said he has a lot of great memories from Gainesville.
"That's part of our profession...We had a great opportunity and I didn't get it done."
--In terms of Eric Wolford, Muschamp said he's very detailed in his approach and is a very demanding coach but has a great relationship with his players. Being a former head coach helps with that, and he usually gets the most out of his players.
--Muschamp asked about the 12th game against Akron, and starts by commending Ray Tanner for working so hard to get this game rescheduled. He'll now get to play against one of his former bosses in Terry Bowden, who was at Auburn when Muschamp was a grad assistant.
--Asked about the protocol for guys not on the travel roster and Muschamp said there is none. Said some guys opt to go home or do whatever they want to. Then asked if he's OK with Josh Belk going to the Clemson game he responds with:
"I don't know anything about it. I don't know what you're talking about."
