Spurrier is on WIS right now in studio talking about donating to the relief funds to the American Red Cross.

The game has been moved. Spurrier talking about it now. He is saying law enforcement, the Governor, and university President felt like it needed to be moved and not held in Columbia Saturday.

Spurrier says he "sees the point" in moving it and doesn't seem to have an issue with it.

"Law enforcement doesn't need a big football game to handle"

game will be at noon or 4pm.

Heh.

Bet it will somehow turn into a night game too. Got to give them plenty of time to sell as many tickets as possible. Wink* Wink*

Spurrier said the football players are helping with the relief effort where they can.

Spurrier has told their support guys to get up some of the older football jerseys and practice clothing that are still in good shape that aren't used now and they need to donate that stuff- and other things to the local community.

He said they had a lot of that stuff and it will be put to good use.

It makes perfect sense.

Some people don't have sense though.

Good move by all involved in making the decision.

No problem moving the game. I'm sure they'll figure what to do for ticket holders. Hopefully, since it's an extra home game for LSU, they'll send some extra help (ticket income?) back to South Carolina.

Remind me... what was the situation a few years ago where our baseball team was on the road and wound up helping the local community with sand bags or something?

GO COCKS!

WSPA just announced the game was moved to Baton Rouge and stated no word on the refund of the tickets as of yet.

The problem I have is with the SEC office. They will not do us any favors in future football schedules and make it us to Carolina...

They give our favors to Georgia...

Maybe both Universities could donate the ticket price (those that aren't refunded and the new ones sold at Death Valley) to the relief effort.
