College Football plays directly into the numbers more than any other sport.

More players and more time for the law of averages to play out.

With the playoff system, it will be interesting to see if it ever deviates much from about six teams each year.

And those six will likely also have the top 6-8 recruiting classes each year.

There might be an aberration on rare occasion, however, the odds that the yearly favorites are left at the end has never been greater.

Perspective required here. Approximately 15 years ago you would have thought Southern Cal and Texas were going to dominate forever. Alabama was in a long period of dormancy.

Nebraska is another example. Everything is cyclical.

And the biggest difference is not a computer. It is a coach. Mike Shula-led Bama sucked. They hire Saban and he wins a championship in year 2. Coaches that can recruit, develop, “hire and fire” assistant coaches and lead are the difference.

Good points but I'm really talking about the past 3-5 years. So many industries have been disrupted by AI and Quantum Computing. Trading and Financial Analysts have been replaced. They are definitely using it in Pro Football and Baseball...It will be interesting to see how many different teams make it to the CB Playoffs in the next 5 years.

Give Bama the best computer in the world, but replace Saban with Dave Doeren and see what happens.
