With hiring of Hoke to coach db's I'm wondering what Arnette is now thinking. Had he stuck by his commitment, he would now receive coaching from a 12 year NFL defensive back coach. I'm sure OSU can't say that, especially with all recruits wanting to get to the next level. Wonder if he realizes he now made a mistake in his dream to get prepared for the next level?

I wouldn't consider it a mistake on his part, you can only make a decision on what you know now. Hindsight....

Since Spurrier is not letting anyone go...I still can't understand why he waited to make this addition announcement after signing time. It may have made NO impact...but I think it would have sounded good to promote the fact that they would be working with someone who knew all about the NFL. Oh, well...too late now.

Not to bash our guy but to be honest he has made quite a few questionable decisions on and off the field lately.Starting to be a pattern !

Probably thinking he better back some warm clothes.

My guess is he's glad he dodged a bullet and will be a part of a program that has its shi# together.

not so much now, but I really do wonder what he'll be thinking 3 years from now when he's still 2nd or 3rd string and realizes he was lied to by the biggest liar in the business. Would have had a much higher national profile at good ol South Carolina.

He signed with the National Champions of college football.

Why would he regret not signing with us? A middle of the pack SEC team. The same SEC conference, where his new team defeated the best from that conference in the college football playoff.

Shot at NFL versus National Championship

For most high school kids it's all about getting to the NFL which for most is their dream since childhood. What better way to get there than being coached up and prepared by a 12 year NFL db's coach. It doesn't matter where you play if you have the talent. I can assure you there are lots of small school kids who are drafted ahead of some of your Ohio State studs (see Butler who won Super Bowl). Maybe you better look at some NFL rosters and realize most talented high school players would take a shot at the NFL, than simply win an NCAA Championship. That works for 2nd string players but not for top talent who are looking at the next step in their career. Love your comment about middle of the road SEC team considering we were one of 3 teams to win 11 games between 2011 - 2013 (others being Alabama and Oregon). What did your State boys do over that 3 year period? Oh that's right you were on probation.
