I thought it would be hard to top the BCS Championship game against Texas, but I think this one is more devastating.

Love It!! he sure was all shitz and giggles in the third quarter when he was running out on the field Chest bumping his players, and Richard Sherman over there Chest Bumping and making "24" gestures to the camera when they went up 10 (24 was Revis number)... LOL, He who laughs last..

I never figured him to be a good coach. He always seemed to me to be the giddy headed cheer leader type (much like Dabo Swiney) Not real deep and sadly lacking real football coaching skills. His success is deffinately tied to how much his bosses want to pay for players (again just like Dabo).

If you remember, they ended in almost the same manner. In the Texas game, they had 4th and 1 and if they got it could have run out the clock. But instead of giving the ball to their 240 lb, bruising back, Lendale White (who had been running great - 3 TD's on the day), they ran it up the middle with light-weight Reggie Bush and he got stuffed for no gain. They turn the ball over and Vince Young wrote the rest.

Just kind of puzzling why he doesn't like the power runner up the middle for 1 yard with the biggest games on the line.

EDIT: Actually, I'm remembering this wrong. They did give it to White and he was stopped. Maybe that's why he made the decision not to run this time around.

Good point. It was actually 4th & 2, which makes the decision to give the ball to Bush all the more inexplicable. Even if the Trojans had just punted, they may have pinned Texas inside their own 20.

This was simply the stupidest play call with the game on the line that I can remember in a Super Bowl. Even if they wanted to pass, a fade would be a hell of a lot better. Then the clock would stop and it likely would just fall incomplete, not be intercepted. Inconceivable. Run was the only call.
