Im all for making this our look, though I do think our White helmet is the sharpest. As far as jersey and pants, this needs to happen and NEVER change. Just have a garnet, black, and white version of each. I’d be fine wearing white pants all the time regardless.
Should be our permanent home unis.
I liked the influence Holtz had on our uniforms. They had a classic understated, midwest look about them. Our current unis, and unis in general, are much too busy. But I think the kids these days dig that.

I love the all white uniforms the team wore when we played quempsum at quempsum and Swearinger put a hurting on one of their running backs. They were a clean crisp looking uniform.

Co-sign on permanent white pants. I think all we need is a road white version of the black jersey and we're set.

Yeah, I remember when we wore them with white helmets. At the time I wondered why we did that. I didn't remember wearing them for Kentucky. 2 thumbs up!
I was at that game, unfortunately. We had just beat Georgia at home the week before. seems like our football history (win a big game, and the next week get upset).........
I think I made a mistake. That is a photo of Kevin Long with the ball and Clarence Williams behind him. Both were drafted in the NFL in 1977. I think the game in the photo is South Carolina at Georgia Tech in 1976 with South Carolina winning 27-17.

Those Carlen uniforms didn’t have a lick of black on the jersey, so that’d be a no for me. If I ruled the world, Carolina would always wear white helmets (current ones) & white pants. The uniform we wore against Florida last season was the best looking uniform a Carolina team has ever taken the field wearing. Stripe sequence on the pants needs to match the ones on the helmet the way they did in ‘05 & ‘06.
Absolutely!. The away uniform would be the white helmets and jerseys with the black pants. I think they are supposed to transform the white and garnet jersey into the style of the current black jersey (2019).
One thing about the Coach Carlen era uniforms, you did not need to watch a Battle Armor video to see what the team would wear on Saturdays.

I truly believe they messed with the mojo by switching to the white helmet.
That's why we lost to UF.
That white helmet has more success, by leaps & bounds, than any other helmet variation the Cocks have ever worn.
The white helmet I definitely the more traditional look. I love the garnet because that’s what I grew up watching, but I know the white is our best. The pants stripe and helmet stripe should match, they were opposite on the throwbacks. It really is a great look. Garnet and black version of the jerseys we wore last year as throwbacks and that’s a great looking uniform. Very similar to Auburn other than the pants stripe for Auburn is different. I agree with a previous poster that this was possibly the best look I’ve ever seen from a Gamecock Football team. We’ve worn the combo but never with such a good design before. I’d love to see us switch to this permanently but have two color home jerseys. That is plenty of variation so the uniform doesnt get boring, but people still know who they are watching when they tune in.

Yep... That's the ONLY reason we lost to FL.. Anyone who knows football know that you don't mess with uniform mojo. We should fire the culprit who made that happen..
Booooo, booooo.... Garnet helmets look better with the Throwback unis..... IMO
I like that the block C is bigger and you can make out the logo. I also like the font on the CAROLINA lettering. Again- clean look
Should be this for every home game and storm troopers away from W-B. Man that just looks GOOD!!
I like several of the combos mentioned here. But outside of the 2012 Clemson game, I can't for the life of me understand why so many are enamored with the "stormtrooper" look. We have awesome school colors which are ignored with this combo. And over the past several years, all we seem to do is lose in them. I just don't get it.
Just so they don’t use UofSC. I hate that. We are USC. So what if another school came along and used it? How about OSU? Which school is that and who cares if there are more than one?
