Just outside Spartanburg... Four people died. It happened just before I got through. The idiot was running on the wrong side of the road. He should have just jumped off a bridge if he wanted to kill himself.

For years statistics have been released saying that stretch right there between Greenville & Anderson is the deadliest stretch of interstate in the nation.

This actually happed in Spartanburg, but you are right that section of I85 in Anderson where Hwy29 veers to the left is a very bad section. But what part of I85 is actually safe. I still think the most unsafe section of interstate in the state is I26 from the mall to Hwy 378.

I read an article this morning saying that alcohol was found in the truck of the person driving southbound in the northbound lane. Do not know if he was under the influence yet.

I wonder how long the trooper, with lights and sirens on trying to get their attention, was driving with them? Sad situation

Looks like the wrong way person was the 60 year old man who had alcohol bottles in the car but the autopsy results have not yet been released (please - I could have read the news reports wrong so I apologize if I got that wrong).

This seems to be happening too often. Whether alcohol or elderly we need a fix. How about "tire busters" on the ramps if you try and go the wrong way?
