--Andy Peters made his last start before the season started, hitting his pitch count after 2.1 innings. He'd give up a one-out walk and put a runner at second off of a flyout but got out of the jam with a fly out before a somewhat rough second inning. He'd get a fly out to start but give up a walk sandwiched by two singles to end the inning. He'd look a little better in his third, working a full count on Andrew Eyster before walking him, then striking out Josiah Sightler on three pitches.

He threw four pitches—fastball at 89-90, slider at 77, curveball at 73 and a changeup in the mid-80s—and was effective when he was throwing strikes. He was able to locate at the bottom of the zone but struggled with command at times. He should be the team's midweek starter going into the season.

--Josiah Sightler
pitched and hit again Sunday, throwing two innings and looking maybe the best he has all spring. He'd give up a run on an error but settled down with a double play before pitching a perfect inning after that. He was in the high-80s on his fastball and his breaking stuff continues to develop with what looks like a slider touching 79 that he's able t0 command low in the zone.

--Julian Bosnic
also threw, pitching two innings and continues to show some development. He'd give up just one hit over two innings and struck out one. Outside of a single to Noah Campbell, wouldn't allow a ball out of the infield. He'd touch 89 miles per hour on his fastball from the left side and throw a really good curveball with great vertical break. On a staff needing lefties, he's slowly becoming a viable option.

--Speaking of Noah Campbell, he had himself a great day at the plate, notching three singles, two to the opposite field. He'd also rack up a stolen base as well. It was one of his better days at the plate and he made a few plays in the field as well, playing second.

He's split time between there and left field this spring. He could very likely play second on opening day but with Jeff Heinrich and Braylen Wimmer playing well, there's a belief a lot of his innings could come in the outfield.

--Continuing with Braylen Wimmer, he's putting together a really great spring. He'd pick up another hard-hit single in Sunday's scrimmage and make some solid plays at shortstop for the injured George Callil. He is working his way into some innings and at-bats opening weekend.

--Graham Lawson
threw an inning and showed flashes of getting back to his old self. He'd walk two and give up two hits in the five batters he faced (one single went off his foot). The stuff is there (93 on his fastball, 81 on a slider and a changeup at 83) but he needs to continue to locate the ball. When he does, he'll be a really good piece to the back end of that rotation.

--Brennan Milone is solidifying every day the third base spot and could be vying for SEC Freshman of the Year. He'd double off Lawson, squaring one up really well at 105.2 miles per hour off the bat, to right-center and made a few great plays at third.

--Dallas Beaver didn't do a lot offensively today but is showing signs of development behind the plate. He's blocking balls better than he was when he arrived on campus and is framing pitches well, too. There were a few over the course of the scrimmage where he turned a ball into a strike. He'd just miss a home run to center (the ball died at the track) and he struck out once, but his bat is good enough and should come around.

--Trey Tujetsch
also threw, starting and throwing two innings. He'd get up to 89 on his fastball, 81 on his changeup and show off a curveball I haven't seen a lot of at 74 miles per hour. In his first inning, he'd walk one and give up a single before striking out Dallas Beaver and Anthony Amicangelo to get out of the inning with two guys on base. In his second inning he'd walk two and give up a base hit to Wes Clarke before getting a fly out. He should be a guy who sees some innings in relief when he commands his stuff.

--While nothing is official yet, it's looking more and more likely that the starting rotation will be Carmen Mlodzinski, Brett Kerry and Thomas Farr. Farr threw yesterday and things seemed to have gone well. Nothing is official but look for that announcement sometime this week before opening day.
