reflecting on Reddfoxx's post on comedians. Do you sort them by "standup" "sketch" and comedic actor? Personally. in my lifetime there is only ONE that excelled at all three and is the GOAT of Comedy....

Chappell is up there too but not the GOAT.
there are a lot of great talents from the early 50s that standout too. Woody Allen, Mel Brooks, Carl Reiner. It would be hard for me to rank them all.
I liked Norm's stuff, especially his Burt Reynolds schtick on SNL and "My Name is Earl". OH and WHO, WHO can forget he's voice of the owl in that eyeglass commercial.
