After three big camp days this past week, the Shane Beamer Camp days will resume this weekend with a session on Friday and Sunday.
Gamecock Central will update the list of campers throughout the week as we gather more information but it never hurts to take an early look.
** Greenville (S.C.) class of 2022 safety Ashton Whitner has Power 5 offers from Indiana, Syracuse and West Virginia and will camp on Friday in hopes of adding an offer from the Gamecocks.
** One of the more interesting young in-staters we've watch this offseason is Chapin (S.C.) class of 2024 quarterback Jayden Bradford. Count this writer as a huge fan of Bradford's game after watching him at one of Perry Orth's camps and at a 7-on-7 practice. Bradford is waiting on his first offer but has all of the tools to be a top prospect and should have an impressive camp season this June. He was at Clemson this weekend and will camp with the Gamecocks on Friday.
** While Bradford will take the short drive from Chapin to Columbia, another QB will take the long trek from Colorado as Colorado Spring (Co.) Vista Ridge QB Brayden Dorman will get his first look at the South Carolina program on Friday. The 6-foot-5, 195-pounder has early offers from Colorado, Colorado State, Iowa State, Kansas, Middle Tennessee State and Oregon State.
** Also scheduled for that day is Brunswick (Ga.) class of 2023 defensive tackle Ka'Shawn Thomas who has an early offer from Jimmy Lindsey and the Gamecocks.
** Miami (Fla.) Florida Christian class of 2023 duo three-star DL Jamaal Whyce and CB Antonio Robinson both have early offers from the Gamecocks and are set to hit campus. We've been told that Whyce is actually already in town as of last night.
** As Chris posted on Thursday, the Gamecocks are also set to host two four-star prospects from the DMV area in class of 2022 EDGE Jaishawn Barham and class of 2023 DE Mason Robinson today. No word yet on if they'll work out, but getting them in is obviously a nice step.
** Sumter (S.C.) Lakewood is set to have several prospects on campus for camp today.
Class of 2022 three-star DB Zayveon Wells has a ton of group of 5 offer and is looking to break into the Power 5 level with a good day. Good kid and good player by all accounts.
Class of 2023 DB Brandon Cisse has had some level of contact with Torian Gray who will get the chance to evaluate him today. It will be our first time taking a look at him.
