Any chance Doty finally red shirts next year and SC rolls out Dak Joyner and Colton Gauthier as the back ups.
In the event of catastrophic injury problems, Doty could be ready, but a full year gives him time to get fully healthy, which I’m not sure he has been since midway through his senior year of HS.
Maybe give Doty the chance to beat out Rattler in spring and if he doesn’t we could just opt to RS him for this season. Also, sets us (and him) up for the future; play your four games, get acclimated to the play book, etc…Joyner appeared more than capable of toting the load in the event of an injury and Gauthier has had nothing but praise heaped on him since arriving
