Roderick got right up behind Johnson, instead of beside him to fill the gap, taking himself out the play and no chance at the tackle. Staley run blitzed in a different gap. Spaulding was the only one left to make the tackle and he got shoved off by RB.

Play 1 - Pass for 30 yards to EJ. Bunch set. Play-action and max protect. Only 2 WRs went out in the play. JB had a clean pocket, stepped up, and made a nice throw to EJ, who went on a deep crossing route.
Play 2 - Incomplete pass. Bunch set. Very similar play to previous one. JB hit a wide open, diving Vann in the hands, but Vann couldn’t bring it in. JB had time, but eventually, the DE got off Nichols’ (LT) block and got pressure on the pass.
Play 3 - Run for 3 yards by Lloyd. 2 WR, 2 TE set. Zone blocked. Douglas (C) couldn’t sustain the block on the DT and Gwyn (RG) barely reached the LB. Both DT and LB combined for the tackle.
Play 4 - Incomplete pass. 3 WR set. JB overthrew EJ in the end zone. Clemson brought 5. Blitz was picked up, but Wannamaker (RT) was beat. JB was forced to roll out and then put too much underneath his pass. EJ was well covered in the end zone. No one else was open.

Play 2 - Run for 4 yards by White. Same formation. Play was blown up, so White cut it back and made a few defenders miss before being brought down.
Play 3 - Run for 3 yards by Harris. Same formation, just slightly varied. Handoff to Harris at FB position. Wannamaker (RT) crushed the blitzing LB.
Play 4 - Run for 1 yard by Harris. 3 WR set. Gwyn (RG) and Muse (TE) pulled. CB saw it was a run and came down to make the tackle.
Play 5 -Interception. 3 WR set. JB had time and threw a deep ball to Vann. Vann was double covered and the ball was behind him, so he didn’t have much of a chance to make a play.
Defense 7th Drive:
Play 1 - Run for 5 yards. QB sneak. Pickens got an initial jump, but then he was double teamed and driven back.

Roderick got right up behind Johnson, instead of beside him to fill the gap, taking himself out the play and no chance at the tackle. Staley run blitzed in a different gap. Spaulding was the only one left to make the tackle and he got shoved off by RB.
Offense 5th Drive:
Play 1 - Pass for 30 yards to EJ. Bunch set. Play-action and max protect. Only 2 WRs went out in the play. JB had a clean pocket, stepped up, and made a nice throw to EJ, who went on a deep crossing route.
Play 2 - Incomplete pass. Bunch set. Very similar play to previous one. JB hit a wide open, diving Vann in the hands, but Vann couldn’t bring it in. JB had time, but eventually, the DE got off Nichols’ (LT) block and got pressure on the pass.
Play 3 - Run for 3 yards by Lloyd. 2 WR, 2 TE set. Zone blocked. Douglas (C) couldn’t sustain the block on the DT and Gwyn (RG) barely reached the LB. Both DT and LB combined for the tackle.
Play 4 - Incomplete pass. 3 WR set. JB overthrew EJ in the end zone. Clemson brought 5. Blitz was picked up, but Wannamaker (RT) was beat. JB was forced to roll out and then put too much underneath his pass. EJ was well covered in the end zone. No one else was open.
Defense 6th Drive:
Play 1 - Run for 3 yards. Sterling squeezed. Foster was playing LB depth and set the edge nicely to make the tackle.
Play 2 - Run for 6 yards. RG released to Staley. LG released to Johnson. LT kicked Foster out. Webb couldn’t quite get off the C block to make the tackle. Roderick made the tackle.
Play 3 - Run for 3 yards. C released to Staley. LG used Webb’s momentum to drive him out the play. Kaba came off the edge to make the tackle.
Play 4 - Pass for 36 yards. Play-action and pocket was rolled. Smith was beat on the play and then basically gave up on it with the ball in the air. WR out jumped Foster for the catch.
Play 5 - Run for 3 yards. Ellis and Pickens pushed back 3 yards before Pickens made the tackle.
Play 6 - Run for 4 yards. Strachan free release into the backfield, but chip blocked by opposite RB. RT released to Kaba, but RB ran right at Kaba. Kaba with the tackle.
Play 7 - Run for 2 yards. WR reverse. Roderick did a good job stringing the play out. Strachan made the tackle.
Play 8 - Incomplete pass. Clemson tried some trickery, but defense didn’t fall for it. Smith on the right coverage.
Offense 6th Drive:
Play 1 - Run for 5 yards by White. 2 TE, 2 RB set. Looked like the play was initially set to go to the outside, but White cut it back inside.
Play 2 - Run for 4 yards by White. Same formation. Play was blown up, so White cut it back and made a few defenders miss before being brought down.
Play 3 - Run for 3 yards by Harris. Same formation, just slightly varied. Handoff to Harris at FB position. Wannamaker (RT) crushed the blitzing LB.
Play 4 - Run for 1 yard by Harris. 3 WR set. Gwyn (RG) and Muse (TE) pulled. CB saw it was a run and came down to make the tackle.
Play 5 -Interception. 3 WR set. JB had time and threw a deep ball to Vann. Vann was double covered and the ball was behind him, so he didn’t have much of a chance to make a play.
Defense 7th Drive:
Play 1 - Run for 5 yards. QB sneak. Pickens got an initial jump, but then he was double teamed and driven back.
Play 2 - Run for 6 yards. Pickens and Ellis doubled. Enagbare couldn’t get off the TE block. Roderick came down to set the edge, so RB bounced it inside. Foster made the tackle assisted by Ellis and Johnson.
Play 3 - Run for 4 yards. RT released to Johnson. Burch took on the pulling blocks of C and TE. Kaba and Staley set the edge, so RB cut it back inside. Ellis couldn’t get off RG block. Roderick, who was at LB depth, made the tackle along with Strachan.
Play 4 - Run for 7 yards. Ellis and Pickens doubled. Burch driven 5 yards down the field by the RT. Staley caught up in the wash. Foster and Burch made the tackle.
Play 5 - Incomplete pass. Too high for the WR. Roderick on the coverage.
Play 6 - Run for 7 yards. QB designed run. DEs got upfield quickly, along with Ellis. Pickens doubled. Johnson followed RB out of backfield, so no one was in middle of the field. Pickens made the tackle.
Play 7 - Incomplete pass. Pass overthrown. Strachan on the pressure and RT probably should have been called for a holding call.
Offense 7th Drive:
Play 1 - Incomplete pass. 4 WR set. JB stepped up into the pocket well, but threw at the feet of Joyner.
Play 2 - Incomplete pass. JB had some time, scrambled, then threw the ball out of bounds.
Play 3 - Pass for 18 yards to Bell. JB threw to Bell on a short crossing route. Clemson was in prevent so Bell had some room to run.
HALFTIME
Offense 8th Drive:
Play 1 - Pass for 7 yards to White. 2 WR set. Muse (TE), Joyner (WR), EJ (WR) all got good blocks on the perimeter. White made a nice move to make a defender miss.
Play 2 - Pass for 3 yard loss to Bell. Leggette got blown up on his block. Bell stood no chance.
Play 3 - Incomplete pass. Screen play was setup for White, but Clemson had it covered. JB did his spin move and threw the ball away.
Defense 8th Drive:
Play 1 - Run for 9 yards. Zone blocked. Ellis doubled. Pickens couldn’t get off the LG block. Johnson had his eyes somewhere else and took himself out the play. Enagbare squeezed and made the tackle where Johnson should have been.
Play 2 - Run for 7 yards. Looked like the same play, but opposite direction. RB made a cutback. Pickens couldn’t get off LG block. Ellis was mauled by RG and RT. Enagbare squeezed and took on block of RB. Both Roderick and Johnson came down to set the edge, which shouldn’t have happened. Roderick popped back inside to make the tackle along with Foster.
Play 3 - Run for 7 yards. RG released to Johnson. C sealed Ellis. RT kicked out Enagbare. Spaulding shed his block and made the tackle.
Play 4 - Run for 5 yards. Enagbare sealed inside by TE and pulling LG. Johnson took on the block of pulling TE. Ellis got off his block and made the tackle.
Play 5 - Holding Penalty.
Play 6 - Pass for 14 yards. RB screen. Smith and Roderick missed tackles. Staley made the tackle.
Play 7 - Run for 1 yard. Enagbare got driven back 3 yards, but managed to get off the block and assisted Spaulding with the tackle. Ellis held his ground allowing the tackle to happen.
Play 8 - Incomplete pass. Rush on the coverage and broke up the pass. Johnson came on the blitz, but no presssure on the QB.
Offense 9th Drive:
Play 1 - Run for 6 yards by Harris. 3 WR, 2 RB set. Gwyn (RG) did a nice job turning out the DT. Harris was met by the LB and drove through him.
Play 2 - Run for 1 yard loss by Harris. Clemson ran a twist with their DTs, causing Douglas (C) to lose his block on the DT who made the tackle.
Play 3 - Pass for 12 yards to Joyner. WR screen. Muse got a great block on the perimeter and Joyner broke a tackle.
Play 4 - Run for 3 yards by Harris. 2 WR, 2 TE set. Counter. Gwyn (RG) and Muse (TE) pulled. Gwyn couldn’t sustain his block on the DE and Nichols (RT) missed the LB. DE and LB made the tackle.
Play 5 - Incomplete pass to White. Clemson had it well covered.
Play 6 - Pass for 3 yard loss to White. Clemson brought a LB on the blitz that came free. JB spun out and got the pass off to White, but White had no where to go.
Defense 9th Drive:
Play 1 - Incomplete pass. Rush was beat, but the ball hung in the air allowing him to catch up and break up the pass. No pressure on the QB.
Play 2 - Run for 1 yard. Strachan squeezed down to take on the pulling TE. Roderick, who was at LB depth, made the tackle.
Play 3 - Run for 3 yard gain. Pickens with a good initial push. Johnson blown back by the LT. Burch squeezed. Staley filled the hole along with Roderick and made the tackle.
Offense 10th Drive:
Play 1 - Pass for 8 yards to Bell. 2 WR, 2 TE set. Zeb hit Bell on a short crossing route. Plenty of time to throw the ball.
Play 2 - Incomplete pass. 2 WR, 2 RB set. White took the handoff and threw deep to Vann. Ball was out of bounds and Vann didn’t have a chance.
Play 3 - Holding penalty.
Play 4 - Pass for 2 yard loss to Harris. 3 WR set. Nichols (LT) was beat by the DE.
Play 5 - Incomplete pass. Pass intended for Muse. Clemson brought 4, but with a blitzing LB. Nichols (LT) again beat by the DE, but Zeb didn’t help him out with the 7 step drop while already being in shotgun.
Defense 10th Drive:
Play 1 - Run for no gain. Sweep. Kaba avoided the block of WR and made the tackle.
Play 2 - Pass for 24 yards. Pocket was rolled. QB found WR in the middle of the zone. Dial on the tackle.
END OF 3RD QUARTER
Play 3 - Holding penalty.
Play 4 - Run for 5 yards. Pickens shot the gap, but RB cut underneath him. RT released to Staley, but Staley still made the tackle, along with Roderick.
Play 5 - Run for 4 yards. Pickens doubled. Staley made the tackle.
Play 6 - Run for 2 yards. Enagbare squeezed and took on the pulling LG. Pickens on the tackle assisted by Roderick and Foster.
Offense 11th Drive:
Play 1 - Pass for 6 yards to Muse. Nice pocket for Zeb and he delivered a strike to Muse, who just sat in the middle of the field.
Play 2 - Run for no gain by Lloyd. Play was blocked well. Lloyd needed to beat the LB, but couldn’t. Gwyn (RG) and Muse (TE) pulled.
Play 3 - Pass for 7 yards to Vann. 3 WR set. Vann ran a 5 and and out - created separation at the top of his route, which he has become so good at. Zeb had time and hit him.
Play 4 - Pass for 17 yards to Vann. Bunch set. Clean pocket for Zeb. Vann and EJ went on crossing routes. Zeb threw a strike to Vann.
Play 5 - Incomplete pass. Play-action. Zeb tried to hit the deep ball to EJ, but over threw him. Zeb was pressured by the DT who beat Douglas (C).
Play 6 - Incomplete pass. 5 WR set. Zeb overthrew Bell on the curl. Clean pocket for Zeb.
Play 7 - Pass for 9 yards to Vann. Bunch set. Vann on a slow crossing route. Wannamaker (RT) and Nichols (LT) were beat.
Play 8 - Run for 6 yards by White. Good push by the OL and TEs. White made someone miss in the backfield and at the LOS.
Play 9 - False start.
Play 10 - Pass for 3 yards to Joyner. Play-action. Zeb had a clean pocket and hit Joyner in the flat.
Play 11 - Incomplete pass. 3 WR set. Zeb threw a strike to EJ and hit him right in the hands, but EJ couldn’t pull it in. Clean pocket for Zeb.
Play 12 - Pass for 7 yards to Vann. Zeb was pressured as Clemson ran the stunt again. Vann couldn’t break the tackle.
Play 13 - Sack for 7 yard loss. Zeb took the 7 step drop after already being in shotgun, making it tough for his OTs. Zeb was too late stepping back up into the pocket. Both Nichols (LT) and Wannamaker (RT) were beat because of it.

Play 1 - Run for 1 yard. Burch had free release, but missed the tackle in the backfield. Staley shed the block of WR and made the tackle.

Play 1 - Run for 4 yards. Pickens was pancaked by the RG. RT released to Staley. Burch shed the pulling LG block to make the tackle.
Play 2 - Run for 5 yards. Strachan with free release but went to wrong back. Ended up making the tackle along with Roderick and Foster.
Play 3 - Run for 3 yards. Johnson shed the RT block to make the tackle. Webb slowed up the RB at the LOS.
Play 4 - Run for 3 yards. Johnson took on the pulling TE block. Webb made the tackle assisted by Johnson.
Play 5 - Run for 2 yards. Burch set the edge and made the tackle. Assisted by Webb.
Play 6 - Run for 7 yard TD. A little trickery. Our DEs took themselves right out the play with free release upfield. Johnson came on the blitz.

Play 2 - Incomplete pass. 3 WR set. Zeb overthrew Vann on the deep ball.
Play 3 - Pass for 12 yards to Joyner. Looked like Joyner ran a flag. Zeb with time despite Clemson bringing the blitz.
Play 4 - Incomplete pass. Intended for White, but basically thrown away. Lee (LG) was beat.
Play 5 - Pass for 9 yards to White. White leaked out the backfield and wasn’t covered. Made a few guys miss.
Play 6 - Run for 1 yard loss by White. LB blitzed and came through untouched to make the tackle.
Play 7 - Run for 3 yards by White. Wannamaker (RT) with a nice double team block initially and then follow up block on LB. Wannamaker then belly flopped the LB for good measure.
Play 8 - Pass for 22 yards to Muse. Muse went up to get the ball as Zeb had all day to throw.
Play 9 - Incomplete pass. Pass thrown out of bounds, but in the area of Joyner.
Play 10 - Run for 12 yards by Zeb. Zeb couldn’t find anyone to throw to so he scrambled.
