Having given AAA state champion Greenville HS their only loss of the year, AA Easley was #1 in the overall football poll. In those days AAA was the highest classification. Most games were shut outs and Greer was the only AA team to score on Easley during the regular season. Greenville and TL Hanna were the only AAA teams to score on Easley. The QB on that team played for PC while the RB was USC's own "Getaway" Galloway.
