Marcus Satterfield and Clayton White due up starting at 12:20 p.m. (Satterfield going first). Updates are in this post.

Satterfield first:

--He's the sole play caller. Mentions he could see players press a little bit when things are going poorly. Mentions as a play caller you can find yourself "going off the reservation" on things you might not practice that week. Mentions it takes trust and there are times you have to trust your gut and make some adjustments.

--Needs to put guys in better positions to make plays. Thinks they've had a few chances to make explosive plays.

--In terms of Luke Doty, as they continue get him stronger and stronger he'll be able to use his feet a little more. Said there were times where before the injury he could have gone for 25 yards but now it's shorter as he continues to get healthier.

--Beamer hasn't gotten any more involved per se but he's also been involved the first three weeks.

--Continuing more about explosive plays, it's about sustaining drives a little bit more and the more plays they run, the more chances they'll have to take deep shots and put guys in spots to make plays.

--Kevin Harris is getting in better shape and should be better going forward as he gets further away from his injury.

--Asked again about explosive plays, they don't go in with a set number but the number of explosive shots really depend on the team and game plan. They want to make the defense honor the go ball.

--A lot of issues on third down were stuffs on third and short. Guys didn't make plays and had a few drops. "The plays are there. Just a matter of making them." Said that'll happen as guys get more comfortable in the offense.

--Asked about the run game, said he knows it's painful to watch and jokes his dad would yell at him about it. Said they have the personnel to run what they want. Mentions they had two or three runs where the timing was a little off and it turns a six yard gain into a one yarder. Some is the play calling and some is lack of execution from different group. Mentions it's "not cohesive yet...Eventually it's going to get going." Said the offensive line's had its best week. Mentions the lack of production there is "driving me nuts."

--Doesn't think they have a true identity yet. They started two different quarterbacks and one is coming off an injury. It's the same plays but different personality. They're still trying to figure out what the bread and butter is in the run game and tweaking that. Not there yet but they will get there.

--Thought Doty played well enough to win the game. "Was he John Elway? No. But I wasn't Bill Walsh." Said he's really proud of how he's going out there and gutting it out.

--Said the identity will be predicated on running the football. Said if they do that and win the line of scrimmage then they can get more creative. Said it was unacceptable.

--Walked out of the Kentucky game feeling good about decision making and the plays he called. Just need to get better from executing. Mentions they aren't getting things done from an on-field production standpoint and it's his fault. Would give himself C-minus and giving himself the benefit of the doubt he'll get it figured out.

Clayton White

--Jaylan Foster's done a great job leading the defense and coming to work. Doing it at a different level and how he's performing.

--Going to keep harping on the defensive side to turning the ball over. Said turnovers come in bunches and they harp on technique and if the turnovers happen they do but if not they like how they're approaching it.

--Continue to have to be good getting into run gaps and shedding blocks. Said they have to do a good job of "changing the math" in the run game.

--On improvement, said they have to continue to communicate better through four quarters. Need to continue improving in run defense and not give up big plays. Tightening up in the red zone is something they want to improve and improve on tackling as well.

--Said this group is a bunch of fighters. Said Shane Beamer is energetic, a guy that is in the huddle and this is a group that loves football.

--Troy's done a good job of spreading teams out. They're typically in 10 personnel and do a good job of matching up and defending the entire width of the field. Troy has a stable of really good running back.s To him it's about understanding where they are on the field and knowing where they are on the field and defending all of it.

--They miss Sherrod Greene. They have three older guys stepping up. Definitely miss him but think they've done well so far.

--David Spaulding and Carlins Platel are still learning at the nickel spot and getting better at getting off blocks in the run game. That's where they'll continue to improve.

That's a wrap on coordinators. RJ Roderick and Eric Douglas scheduled to speak today.

RJ Roderick

--They like what they're doing a lot from a secondary perspective. Said they want to stack days, stack weeks together and help out the defense however they can.

--Playing in the 4-2-5 allows guys to play a little freer and take "calculated risks" and take some chances to try and force turnovers.

--Doesn't think it's hard to handle tempo offenses. Said they prepare for it.

--David Spaulding and Platel are playing a lot more instinctively. They're starting to make their own calls from a defensive standpoint and it makes this a little smoother on the back end taking some pressure off things from a safety perspective.

Eric Douglas

--Said everyone has to look in the mirror and figure out what they're doing wrong and get better to try and create an identity.

--Luke Doty's the "same guy" bringing energy and being positive. Whenever things get tough he's going to try and help get the offense on track.

--On third downs, reiterates team needs to look itself in the mirror. Game plan is put in for us to succeed and be in a good spot. Said it's nothing from a game plan or individual perspective.

"If all 11 do our job, win our individuals we'll be special."

--Troy has a good front four and the two linebackers have some quick twitch. He played high school with one of the defensive backs. Trojans are a good team and beat LSU a couple years ago. They know Troy isn't a cupcake and it's about going out there and showing people what they can do offensively to build some confidence.

--Said having so many reps with Luke Doty dating back to last year it gives the guys up front a comfort level perspective.

--Asked on what he pays attention to, jokes a magician doesn't reveal his secrets. Said there are a handful of things where he pays attention to and if he sees something that'll dictate where to slide protection.

Pete Lembo

--Mentions he's in a crabby mood and even wore a crab belt. Mentions his lower back is bothering him and it was a disappointing loss. Did say the gratitude and seeing the support from the fan base during Gamecock Walk "it's amazing." He walked into the coach's locker room and "if you can't put your best on the field as a coach, player or support staff knowing how passionate these people are...it's probably best you're doing something else. It's just remarkable." Wants to do whatever he can to move this program forward and doesn't take the spot he's in for granted.

--Shane Beamer's been very "even keeled" the last two weeks. Mentions he's had a few fiery moments but he's been very even keel today. He's never lost sight of the big picture and "where we're trying to go." He doesn't lose sight of Rome not being built in a day but understands they did miss a chance the other night. He's handled the adversity today but how much he loves South Carolina and is all-in with both feet on the ground is pretty overwhelming.

"I think that genuineness and authenticity is appreciated by a lot of people."

--Jokes he'd be disappointed if he didn't get an onside kick question. Head coaches get input all week and in-game about decisions like that. Lembo isn't afraid to share some of the opinions but it's Shane Beamer's decision to make. Said some is based in analytics and some is trusting the gut. Saturday night was a "gray area there" and Beamer went with his gut.

--Definitely a combination of things to have good special teams. They devote a lot of time and energy to it. Said he has to "use that business degree" and be demanding and entertaining at the same time to keep guys engaged in special teams meetings. Has to be a "clear, concise" message but they have to have a good time too.

--Said there's some organized chaos for him during games. He's always trying to talk with the specialists and talking with some of the guys on special teams about scheme and what they're seeing on the field. A lot goes into it.
