It's not gonna happen though.Tavien Feaster can be the next Heisman at USC. Clemson has too many RB's on their roster.
Carolina needs Feaster in a major way. He'll also be the starter from day 1 should he flip & decide to come on down, however.....I liken our chances to that of Lloyd Christmas's landing Mary Sampsonite's.
If we NEED him, we have a problem.
It's not gonna happen though.
Do you honestly think Will Muschamp thinks this? If you keep telling yourself something isn't gonna happen it most likely wont. This guy is gonna be relentless on the recruiting trail and is making no exceptions about it. In order to get the best you gotta believe as the recruiter you are the best... Will's rolling up those sleeves and getting everyone. He knows how important it is to have talent. If the zombies were still part of the coaching staff they would just sit still and accept things for the way they are. Muschamp won't stand for that crap and neither should we.
rimoreI agree and that is the mentality you need to have as an outstanding recruiter but from a fan's perspective and fact he has been committed there for a while and the year they are having and location etc. Huge uphill battle and at this point he has not even said if he would even visit. I love the fact that Muschamp is not going to let that stop him but its a long shot.
I'm not Will Muschamp, so my opinion of the situation doesn't have much bearing on whether or not we get him. I'm all for Will being positive. I'm glad he's positive. That'll help with recruiting and it will go a long way in getting other recruits. He's proven that he's a good recruiter. He's proven that he will work his butt off for the best recruits, so there's not much else to say. None of this changes my opinion on whether or not we have a shot at Feaster. He's going to Clemson. It's okay to be positive in life and it's a good thing, but reality has to be considered, especially when one's (my) perception of the situation has nothing to do with the outcome.Do you honestly think Will Muschamp thinks this? Agreed. I'm glad we have a coach who will try against all odds. Just don't think this particular kid is in the cards.I agree and that is the mentality you need to have as an outstanding recruiter but from a fan's perspective and fact he has been committed there for a while and the year they are having and location etc. Huge uphill battle and at this point he has not even said if he would even visit. That's fine even if we don't realistically have a chance I respect Muschamp for going after him. Players and recruits take notice of things... Don't think for one second this doesn't have an impact even if we don't land him. This is literally everything I was hoping to see in the new coach.

If you want a chance to land Tavian Feaster, you have to offer Tavaris Scott
If you want a chance to land Tavian Feaster, you have to offer Tavaris Scott (WR @ SHS) Tavian is trying to get Tavaris a scholarship with him to Clemson. Clemson will not pull that trigger. Being a Spartanburg HS alum/fan and watching both play weekly... I would offer him similar to how we offered Nick Jones and Dylan Thompson to get Marcus Lattimore.... Tavaris is a pretty good receiver who could help in some capacity. I would see him fitting in as a possession receiver (Similar to Jones)
I totally agree!!! Also, add Austin Scott to the mix too.
The question you have to ask yourself is simply is Tavian Feaster "worth" three scholarships? Marcus Lattimore was (Nick Jones and Dylan Thompson) but can Tavian Feaster be a program changer? He has all the skill set to do so.. only time will tell
He is. Have you seen him play a game?
Can't we just pay him more than them?Feaster's stats for this year (2015):
143 carries for 1061 yards on the ground.
53 receptions for 846 yards
Nasty stats for a high school player.
You have as much of a chance getting him as we had getting Clowney or Lattimore.Tavien Feaster can be the next Heisman at USC. Clemson has too many RB's on their roster.
CWM is right to go. Even if TF doesn't go to you guys there may be a back-up that is as good in the next year or so if not better. You have to network. That is what he is doing. And, if by some crazy chance he changes his mind, then you have something more to work with. I too think the chances are close to zero but you still have to work it.That's fine even if we don't realistically have a chance I respect Muschamp for going after him. Players and recruits take notice of things... Don't think for one second this doesn't have an impact even if we don't land him. This is literally everything I was hoping to see in the new coach.
I don't know. Dabo made Clowney weak in the knees with that "I love you, man" stuff. You have as much of a chance getting him as we had getting Clowney or Lattimore.
It's also how Clemson got Roscoe Crosby back in the day - they offered his best friend too (who turned out to be a three year starter and was there way longer than Crosby)If you want a chance to land Tavian Feaster, you have to offer Tavaris Scott (WR @ SHS) Tavian is trying to get Tavaris a scholarship with him to Clemson. I was thinking the same thing myself...can we flip emmons (morganton, nc) from Alabama?
Unfortunately, I agree!!I believe in Champ & company being great recruiters but there's no way Feaster is leaving tater town. I could see if both schools were having equal success like a few years back, but with them having the season their having there's likely no chance he even entertains coming to South Carolina even if he has to ride the pine for a season there. Kids want to go where they'll win & we need to start winning again before we can flip a kid like that.
