WBB: Five Things to Watch - Arkansas

Tip is at 3:30 on ESPN2.

It looks like Bree Hall is the one player in health and safety protocols, but it isn't official yet. Everyone else made the trip.

South Carolina's favorite official, Eric Brewton, is one of the officials today.

Gamecocks starters: Henny, Cooke, Beal, Saxton, Boston.

Confirmed that Bree Hall is the only player not available.

South Carolina wins the toss. Henny misses a three, but Boston scores the putback.

Cooke has started 0-4 despite good looks. Arkansas already has three 3s and leads 9-5.

Boston scores, then Goforth gets by Saxton for a layup. Boston posts again and kicks to Henny for three. Arkansas leads 11-10 at the media timeout. Boston has 4 points, 3 rebounds, and an assist, which is about normal for her against Arkansas.

Henny hits another three and becomes the third Gamecock this season to hit 1,000 points. She also tied the game at 13.

Littleton and LA are in the game. Wolfenbarger picks up her second foul. She'll sit. USC goes right to Boston, but her layup rolls off.

Nice drive and dish by Henny, she sets up LA with a pair of FTs. She makes both to put USC up 15-13. Henny gets a breather and Rivers checks in.

South Carolina leads 18-13 after 1Q, finishing on an 8-0 run. Henny has 7, Boston 4 points, 3 rebounds. Both teams are 3-7 form three, but Arkansas is just 4-14 overall.

LA picks up her second foul and has to sit. Wolfenbarger checks back in with two fouls. She'll try to guard Boston, and that is quite a mismatch. Boston already scored while I was typing that.

Wolfenbarger blocks a Cardoso layup. Gamecocks lead 27-23, but Arkansas' three are keeping them in the game.

Wolfenbarger's third foul comes on a lazy screen. Arkansas' pace has slowed down. Gamecocks lead 27-23 at the media timeout.

Arkansas just can't guard Boston. She has 13 points and 7 rebounds. Gamecocks lead 34-27 after a three-point play by Boston.

I'm a little surprised Dawn went with Cardoso and Boston together for so long. Against Arkansas they just get in each other's way. I thought a small four like Beal or LeLe would give Boston more space to work. Saxton is athletic enough that even though she doesn't shoot much, she can play away from the basket.

USC opens the third with a couple turnovers, while Arkansas makes a couple layups to pull within 36-31. After a couple misses, Saxton scores a putback to break the seal.

Boston is too strong on a layup, and commits a foul on the rebound. She has some words for herself walking back up court.

Henny hits a three to put the Gamecocks up 10, and then Cooke drives and draws a foul. She hits both to make it 43-31.

Cooke took a funny step and comes up limping. She couldn't put weight on her left foot. She hobbles to the bench and is being treated.

Littleton replaces Cooke and drains a three. Next possession, Henny nails her fourth 3 of the game. Gamecocks lead 49-31 and are on a 13-0 run. Timeout Arkansas. Boston has her 11th straight double-double with 15 and 11.

A nice drive and layup by LA makes it a 15-0 run. Ellis ends the streak with a three, but it's still a 17 point Gamecock lead.

Arkansas trimmed a 20-point deficit to 51-47 after three quarters.

The turnover bug has hit USC. 11 turnovers in the second half and two already in the fourth. Arkansas is on a 13-0 run and pulled within 51-44.

Boston blocks a shot, but is called for a foul. Daniels hits both FTs and it's 51-46 Gamecocks. Timeout Arkansas, 6:55 left.

Boston has been held to 0 points and 2 rebounds in the second half. The ball needs to go through her out of this timeout.

They do, but she turns it over. After an offensive foul, Henny uses a screen from Boston to get free for a jumper to end the run.

Boston misses an elbow jumper. USC gets the ball back on foul and sets up a three for Littleton. She misses. Daniels has the runout, puts her shoulder into Henny, Foul on Henny and Daniels coverts the three point play. 54-49 Gamecocks.

Boston draws a foul, hits both free throws. Beal steals the inbounds pass for a layup and the Gamecocks are back up 57-49 with 3:54.

Saxton, the feral hog killer, blocks her career-high 6th shot and Boston scores on the other end. South Carolina is back up ten.

Sania Feagin checks in to protect Boston over the final 30 seconds. Feagin promptly blocks a shot.

South Carolina beats Arkansas 61-52. Henderson and Boston each had 19, and Boston added 13 rebounds.
