In case you missed it, the following is from Chris Clark's Tuesday, Dec. 5 Insider Report:

"There have been some questions from our subscribers on The Insiders Forum regarding space in the 2018 class, so just wanted to provide a quick refresher there. USC currently has 18 verbal commitments in the class, and adding in grayshirt Tyreek Johnson and the scholarship for Ty’Son Williams coming on the books, that’s 20. That leaves five spots as things currently stand; USC does not have any available “count backs” to the 2017 class. Certainly, there are more than five attainable targets still on the board, and we’ve said multiple times that there could be some attrition from the current crop. As to who and how/when it happens, we’ll track that for everyone as the information becomes available and as it happens. As for remaining targets, space is certainly limited and the staff could end up having some decisions to make. As always, they continue to cast a wide net and work multiple targets down the stretch."

Note from Shoe 1: Steven Montac is counting back to 2017 (per Chris).

Note from Shoe 2: Since that report, Israel Mukuamu and Bryce Thomspon committed, so adjust the numbers by two. Carolina has 20 commitments now. Adding in Tyreek Johnson and Ty’Son Williams, that’s 22. That leaves three spots at the moment. Additional spots will open should one or more current commitments decommit.

Note from Shoe 3: @Chris Clark and @Wes Mitchell are the recruiting experts, not me. I'm just trying to provide some clarity.
