All its going to take is for a few hundred players to not get picked up out of the portal and get shut out of their former programs for that to calm way down.

That is almost a full recruiting class. If all of them leave can Jimbo survive another year? If I were TAMU I would give Jimbo the deed to their basketball arena and build a new one. They can get a nice arena for 85 million.

My understanding, a spot comes open, as long as they don’t exceed 25 per year

That’s exactly what it will take but I doubt enough coaches would be willing to do it.

As another stated eventually the portal situation will correct itself, but for now it is really out of control.
