Somewhere, sometime, and somehow.... sanity and the best interest of the players and fans needs to trump ESPNs money!

Just say no...!

What I don't get is why they schedule East Coast games for 9:00, period. Move over one or two time zones and you get the 9:00 content you wanted to begin with, PLUS a perfectly reasonable local tip time.

Not sure why you included the players' interest in your comment. From personal experience and conversations I've had, most players don't really give a rat's ass if their game starts at 7 pm or 9 pm.

It's fans like you who think because you can't or won't stay up to watch a "late" game that everything is supposed to be scheduled on your whim to when it's most convenient for you.

So that's another in a long line of excuses as to why tonight's big big game isn't a sellout. Sorry, I don't buy it. its a crying shame that the arena isn't packed to the rafters.

Because it matters who is playing, not just when they are playing. There is no guarantee that the schools from the other time zones are as highly ranked or recognized as the East Coast teams playing. ESPN (or whoever) isn't just going to put in time-filler games. They want games that attract an audience.

You never have anything positive to say. I sure hate to work with you .

The 7 o'clock games were in oxford, ms and south bend, in. Both in the central time zone, they could have easily flipped them. Not that crowd attendance for women's games is ever a factor for ESPN.

anyone else bored with Andrea making an azz of herself?

I love later games because I don't have to run around like a chicken with his head cut off to get to eat dinner and get to a 7:00 game on time.

It is not an excuse, its an explanation. If you regularly attend the WBB games, you understand that there are normally a couple of thousand children in attendance. It is much more of a family crowd than the men's games. Because of the late weeknight start time, I saw very few children attending tonight.
How many WBB programs would gripe about having attendance of 14 to 15 thousand?

Hey SuperFan - Where were your seats? I was sitting in the Upper Deck along with a few thousand other people.

You can bash the football program and the baseball teams going NOmaha - but you don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to womens' basketball and their fans.

ya gotta love folks who complain about late games and ESPN's money. As if the network didn't think about any other sports events around the nation -- only SC fans and their needs for their kids. If it wasn't for ESPN's money (which is actually Disney's money many of you could not have watched the game live. Geez, some of you need to enroll in the Business school to learn how the real world works.
