The Camden (S.C.) duo of 2023 big-time defensive tackle Xzavier McLeod and 2024 WR/RB Cortez Lane is visiting South Carolina today for an unofficial visit.
You are all probably familiar with McLeod by this point. He's a major, major priority for the staff and Jimmy Lindsey has done a great job with him. I think it's a South Carolina-UGA battle at this time. I like Carolina's position here but the Dawgs have gained ground, so that's something to watch.
Below is an article I wrote this summer on Lane, who has visited several times and has been picking up more and more interest from the staff. There was some question about whether he's a RB or WR at the next level but Justin Stepp has been recruiting him at South Carolina, so it appears WR is the position Carolina likes him.
