Can't hold an 8 run lead. Kingston makes too much money for his players to not understand basic baseball fundamentals. We're playing guys in the best baseball conference in the country who couldn't field balls for a church league team. Recruiting and player development have taken a HUGE step down in our program. That's what happens when you hire average coaches that haven't gotten us to Omaha in 12 years. LSU came from behind to win twice against us because they expect to win. Winning mentality starts up top-something our coaches lack.

We lost two one run games to a good baseball team this week. We also beat two Top 5 ranked teams along with the host team. It was a good week by any measure.

The SEC is the best baseball conference in the country by a mile. Over the past 10 years, all of the schools in the conference have used their big SEC revenue windfall to bolster all sports. What you now have is parity in baseball top-to-bottom and that was on display this week.

The landscape has changed since Ray coached and he's spoken about this on many occasions. IMO, one of our "good" teams would have won another 5-7 regular games and swung the record in the SEC to around 20-10. That obviously didn't happen and I'm sure Kingston will be under a microscope end the season ends.

However, the idea that "we suck" and all of other things that are stated on this board are nonsense. We've beaten some of the top teams in the country this season and did so again this week. We are capable of playing with anyone in the country. We do have some holes in talent and need to pick up the recruiting numbers which appears to be in motion.

If they decide to switch out Kingston, hopefully we can retain some of that momentum in the process. Ray gets alot of crap on this board and some of it is deserved. I do believe he is still capable of determining the difference between weak coaching and weak talent in baseball though and will make the right decision. Based on his dugout persona, he'll be bothered far worse than us if a coach is continually making bad decisions.
