Does anyone think Alex English or Xavier McDaniel would be interested in the Gamecock Coaching job if Frank Martin doesn't return next season?

Frank will be back and for many years to come. This is only his 3rd season. Rome wasn't built in a day.

What are you doing?... don't tell the "microwave society" of fans we have... the "i want it now" people.. that Frank Martin will be here for years to come.

Don't you know top 10 coaches would line up to take this program of 40 years of past success to the top again.

Don't know about Xavier but English has no interest in coaching but he does support FM if that helps you......Besides FM isn't going anywhere....

Some of you folks act like we were a top 20 MBB program before he arrived and he has run the car in the ditch....

The car was over the cliff and on fire when he got here...Its gonna take time to get it fixed and like it or not you are going to have to have patience.

It won't be fixed this year or next either....They guy is making progress and your just going to have to have patience.....

Frank got a 6 year deal because they knew it was probably going to be year 5 or 6 before signs of life appeared.....

I believe Tyrone Corbin would be the most realistic Columbia-native candidate. His time as an NBA head coach hasn't gone well (.419 winning %), but the NBA is a different animal in which you're severely limited by your organization's ability to sign quality players. At the very least he should be able to recruit, but I think his coaching remains a bit of an unknown at this point. He wouldn't be at the top of my list of replacements for Martin, but I think he'd be a high-risk/high-reward hire.

Alex was an asst NBA coach for many years and would make a great USC coach. He would lock down the border and use his NBA connections to recruit nationwide. I think the administration expected Alex to give them a bunch of $$$ for consideration as head coach and he did not suck up to them back in the 90's.

You realize that he is formerly a member of the University board of trustees, correct?
