I used to come to FGF to get good information and to get caught up on USC. I guess I was spoiled over the last five years when the redneck Clemson fans were hiding under rocks.

Now I come to FGF and you have pathetic coward Clemson fans under fake handles posting nonsense, they are total garbage.

I know this is a for profit venture so the moderators will let these necks continue to post to get clicks. However it is hurting our program because of the negativity.

Hopefully we can find a way to win against Clemson this year and they will run and hide again.

I concur. I loved this site. I was addicted to GC. Now this forum is very poor. I do not always know the validity of Clemson imposters. It is sad, one bad year and everyone goes into hiding. Maybe this is a ploy to get people to pay and make this forum have 2 posts a day and rot on the vine.

It's all part of the sCUm propaganda campaign. The Greenville media is bought and paid for by it. Every night WYFF TV has some puff piece about sCUm during the newscast. The "sports" report always leads with sCUm crap even if it's 3 day old news. If you don't believe it check out " Clemsons Social Media Lab" they constantly monitor and read everything posted online anytime the word Clemson is posted. Joseph Goebbels would be proud..

i used to be a mod and i can tell you for an absolute fact that for every actual Clemson fake there are at least 100 claims of such that are completely wrong and stupid. Maybe you don't know this which just makes you ignorant, or maybe you do and you think you're being cute and insulting, but all you're actually doing by constantly referring to people you disagree with as "clemson imposters" is make yourself look extremely weak.

Seems to be some people call anyone who doesn't agree with them or doesn't think USC is a national power or will win the national championship or expresses any concerns is a tater. A lot of fans are loyal passionate USC fans and get upset, naturally, when we lose a bunch of recruits or have legitimate questions of the coaches. This doesn't mean they're taters. I guess some of you want to start a Gamecock website along the lines of the Hitler Youth.

Thank you! I've already been called that. I guess because I'm new but it really discourages you from wanting to be a part of the message boards. I thought it would be fun to join in on sports discussions but I had a guy call me a Clemson fan because I disagreed with him. I realize it's a down time right now on the board with the recruiting but people need to lighten up a bit. Don't take your frustration out on other posters. At the end of the day, we are all pulling for the same team.

Cali. What do think of the board in the last 6-12 months. IMHO. It has flopped really bad. Like the OP said. There is very little positive from this free board anymore. I doubt you get a chance to answer. The board allows BS to be talked about players and coaches but not how bad the board has become. It will be deleted or locked fairly quick.

I've been participating on this forum since Day One, almost 20 years, and as far as the rank and file posting on the free forum is concerned there isn't a nickel's worth of difference between what gets said now and then and every time in between. The only thing that changes is the time of year, or the fun level based on whether we have good teams or not. The percentage of intolerant jerks that don't want to do anything but call people they don't agree with names like "clemson imposter" is pretty much the same

It goes beyond being an "honest discussion about problems" Rooster. It's personally insulting some of the coaches and players that goes too far. For example, Coach Ward should never ever be called "Mumbles." That's just not the right way to speak about someone. And there have been other insults that go beyond having an "honest discussion."

Like it or not, some of the way the program is perceived is created by such poison. It has been discussed on sports talk shows how bad it has gotten on here. Phil Kornblut and Bobby Hartin even discussed it today how if you go to some of the "Gamecock site fans act like they are ready to jump off a cliff." Kornblut said this is a very good class that addressed a lot of team needs.
He puts little stock in the star rating system that fans are so infatuated with today. The recruiting services love the infatuation with it. He says many of the services are so political. Yes...some of the players work out...and some don't...like any class. He pointed out that Oregon, TCU, and Michigan State haven't had "Top 20" classes the last several years and look at their programs. There are a lot of good players out there. It's the coaches jobs to make them better when they get here. Bobby even said he came here the other day for three minutes and could not take it any more. People can express their opinions without trashing the coaches and players. The coaches and our young men deserve better than that.

Some people's identities are so closely tied to the program that they take any criticism personally- like their wives or mothers or daughters are being attacked.
It is both endearing and kind of sad we have so many fans who have their persona's tied to the Gamecocks.
It is not like the program is the Yankees or the Lakers or the Steelers or Cowboys- teams with crowed trophy cases and yet SC has just as loyal fans.
Does another program exist with such a loyal fan base that has accomplished so little in terms of titles?
Many called negative nellies or taters on here are just being realistic about where this program has been and what it can go, there are some real deficiencies and this past year was a near total bust.
