Would you have felt the same way if Spurrier "retired" after beating the juggernaut Miami?

WM would most likely have been our best choice back then, too.

Kinda stupid we didn't hire him as DC last year. I'd still like to know what really happened with that process.
 
Wait, everything I heard about the Spurrier replacement was that Tanner had Herman in mind for Spurrier's replacement since 2013. WM may not have been our best choice. Different set of coaches available, not to mention who may or may not have jumped at the money. Impossible prediction.

Herman was Tanner's guy last year and this year. It certainly wasn't WM.
 
Muschamp was never a serious consideration for HC until last Thursday. Make what you will of it.
 
What happened is that he got picked up by Auburn and proceeded to have a defense ranked in the bottom ring of the country similar to ours. (#92AU vs. #98USC) Lets hope for the best from this point.
