Yep, Texas. He was successful as a QB, only to be benched by Mack Brown for Chris Simms. Simms eventually sucked so bad Applewhite got the job back at the end of his career and lit it up. He was an up and coming coach and is getting a pretty raw deal. Obviously his bowl loss was terrible. But he should get another shot somewhere.
