Clemson moves forward on $62 million football operations center proposal. The adjusted proposal is for a 157,000-square foot, multiple-floor center housing all football-related functions.
Are we doing anything like this ? Besides the indoor practices facility

Tanner mentioned spending 40 mil on one in the future. 60 is around what Oregon spent. Nothing like choosing to be back of the pack when you have an opportunity to build the best.

USC's weight room and training room currently blow Clemson's away, but Clemson has no space at their stadium to building something to match.

Because Clemson's stadium is in the ground and is bordered closely by roads, any football facilities that they add would have to be stand alone.

For USC, they can tuck most of that underneath the superstructure of the stadium.

Also, there are still future plans for additional facilities to be added to the Indoor Practice Facility.

Wouldn't it be better to have a separate building like the Mal M. Moore Athletic Facility at Alabama instead of tucked underneath the superstructure of the stadium . Should have these buildings out for show not hidden

I think we will eventually. It would be great for attracting top coaches. The problem is that we just spent so much money on, parking, the stadium and the new practice facilities. Someone mentioned USC purchasing the lot behind the new practices fields so maybe that is where an office building could go.

I agree ^^^^. When you can do it, always put your best foot forward - where it can be clearly SEEN!

So Clemson and Oregon have 5 star football operations centers and we will only have a four star? Crap!

They probably will anyway. USC's will cost $45-50 million. Maybe more. Just saying, Clemson has to because their stadium is in the ground. Nowhere to put any facilities down there.

They can replace the baseball facilities in Clemson to make room for Dabo's football Recuiting Center.. Jack won't mind. because the lack of support he gets...

when will construction start? Seems like they announced the West End Project and did not start construction for 2/3 years.

They started the West Zone about a year after announcing it, which is normal. However, they have not finished it. I believe they are currently finishing the project, almost 10 years after it was first announced.

Yea it was a three phase plan. The first two were finished pretty well on schedule but the third phase had tons of changes from first approval until now so its been a long time coming. It should be finished in the next few months.
