We have 4 more basketball games left this year. In my humble opinion, as fans, the best thing we can do for our team is to support them through these last 4 games, and be done with this season. When you have a team as depleted as ours, from injury and suspensions, it really isn't fair to critique them to death. Everything I hear about Frank Martin is that off the court, he is as hard working and nice of a person as you could ever want. I work with an ex-players wife, and he loves Coach Martin. I have never met Coach Martin but I live in Columbia and have talked to a good number of people who do know him. And they ALL say he is the best coach for our program. Not one of them has said he should be fired or isn't the right man for the job. Personally, I don't like his side line antics. I wish he would tone it down. But he is what he is and as long as I keep hearing the positive reviews about him that I am hearing, I just won't watch him on the sidelines.

Bottom line, I want our basketball team to thrive. If Frank Martin is the right coach for the job, then let's give him a few more years. This team has played hard this year. I am sure they are tired. Let's support them and the coaching staff and hope for a better run next year.

GO COCKS!

Agreed! Sideline antics are part of who he is and how he coaches. Fine by me. I was amazed he ever decided to come here and he is the perfect guy for the job. Promotes the school always to the fullest, is about building the players to be ready for life after basketball, and he won't ever quit until he turns this around and he will in fact turn it around. I know this conference season has been disappointing but the fact we beat Iowa St, Ok St, and Clemson by 20 shows improvement. We weren't close to beating those type teams last yr. He's got the states top player coming in which also happens to be a McD All American and another top 100 recruit who looks to have some definite athleticism. Final piece to this class would be landing another big (hopefully Levi Cook had a good visit). Add the guys coming next yr and a hopefully healthy Blanton and we'll see what happens. Just the fact of getting a player like Dozier is huge.

I am behind Martin all the way and want him to have any time he needs to get this done. All "fire Martin" critics have no idea what they are talking about. They will see.

Seems to me that Frank II has toned down the antics significantly over last year.

I'll continue to scream my head off every game and support them to the end. They will be much improved next season.

I'll be there, and I thought him quite restrained yesterday. He got a

warning once, or at least I think it was a warning. Who knows with the refs we have? But as far as chewing on players? Nah. I saw some ref-gnashing, but I have no problem with that when they're bad.

That one "jump ball" (and I put in quotes to indicate snark) was after our player going in for a short shot had his arm grabbed. We all saw the hook in 101 at the opposite end of the court.

So, not so many antics yesterday except those by the refs.

GOCOCKS! BEATUT! BEATBAMA! BEATDAVIDSON!

Nice post. I get frustrated with the results sometimes, but I will continue to support MBB and Martin. These guys play really hard and they don't give up. By the way Chick 75 awesome picture! What a cute kid and great t-shirt! My 7 year old daughter had to Lol when she saw the shirt and said she wants one!

Did something yesterday I have never done before (63 and been watching / playing / participating)... (and this from a former D1 hoops manager as well as one offered a GA position at Wake (in the late 70's) ) , left the game at the half.

Enough was enough..allowing House to continue shooting uncontested as he did as well as two others that hit 3's in the first half..and FM yelling and screaming at kids as again he has all season ( somewhat calmed down but none the less) that are just not talented enough to play at this level was more than enough.

The man has to realize he is seriously limited talent wise..the inept can only do so much sans Michael Carrera who puts it on the line game in and game out. So , if you do not have the talent then why continue to embarrass kids game in and game out , why continue to berate a kid that just does not have the talent to compete on the level needed today. Really gets me how the one kid who goes balls to the wall game in and game out is continually screamed at. Frank--you do not have the talent - face facts , grow up , get real , act like a man and realize what you have player wise.

You can not play this game today without bigs..and Carolina does not have any bigs much less one or two that can dominate the inside , move from the baseline to the bucket with force and basically without appearing to be questioning what they are doing while they are moving...the two from Lithuania do not have a clue nor the talent to come close to being what is needed in todays game.

Move to KY and you won't have to worry about it.
