If Beamer isn't in the top two the reason for that just took a job out in corn country. Those losses to Florida and Missouri make the wins over Tennessee and Kentucky look much less impressive. Depends on how the pundits see it since they picked us to win 5 games total all year.

Heupel will likely get it but Beamer should be the guy with all things considered. I just think what he has done adds up to more.

I think Beamer deserves it with Heupel and Kelly finishing tied for 2nd. Kirby may have the best team in the conference, but its easy to look like the best coach when you have the best players. I dont think Smart should be in the running for the COTY.

That, and not sure the SEC wants to reward a program that admitted to blatant paying players cash in a Chick-fil-a bag. Even though it was on the previous coach’s watch, many of the current players were no doubt recruited in a similar manner.
