Except that the Byrnes offense and the Opelika offense have a LOT of similarities to Ropers offense.

Yeah but he wasn't getting grilled by SEC defenses every week. U do know we have the same OLine coach right? He better thicken up a little in the weight room real quick

I do. But the O will definitely be different. We won't have as many of the long developing plays of the SOS offense and probably a better short route O as well. Obviously we'll have to see. I would bet that the O blocking scheme will change as well. Anyway, the point was that maybe Bentley's learning curve would be shorter due to the similarities of O schemes which would give him somewhat of a leg up on learning the speed/read deal.

Could be both. If baseball works out for BMac, he could be in the minors after 2 football seasons. If Bentley redshirts, he would still have 3 years of eligibility.

How can anyone determine who should start when Bentley hasn't taken a snap and Mac isn't through spring practice. Both are at this point only prospects and neither could start.

Obviously no one can determine who is going to start (not even the coaches) but it's fun to read everyone's opinion / view.
