Definiftely a much better than expected first year.....hopefully he can build on it.I think Beamer has done a great job!!
You know I think this is the typical feeling and I’ll take a lot of heat for it here but I think it was a good job, not a great job. I think people forget how close we were to losing to Vandy and Least Carolina.I think Beamer has done a great job!!
Either way. He went to a bowl and beat the damned ACC punks!!You know I think this is the typical feeling and I’ll take a lot of heat for it here but I think it was a good job, not a great job. I think people forget how close we were to losing to Vandy and Least Carolina.
We benefitted from the wheels falling off at Auburn and Florida and if we’re being perfectly honest some self destruction.
Where I do think he’s done a “great” job is in upgrading the talent on the roster from last season to this year.
I was glad to see us walk the dog on the Tar Holes. And right now this conversation is helping prevent me from stabbing my eyes out with scissors over the basketball hire.Either way. He went to a bowl and beat the damned ACC punks!!
Get a grip, we had George & he was run off by u Baptists caused he liked a cold one. ……..can only imagine what be done to BJ.I see former players are publicly supporting BJ to be mens bb coach. Risky but interesting hire. I haven't seen BJ in years but grew up playing rec league bb with him at Seven Oaks rec center in Irmo. I graduated with his first cousin Corey (who's same age as BJ) at Dutch Fork and communicate with him on occasion. I know BJ's a loyal Gamecock who's coached at smaller schools. Not sure if he's ready for that type of promotion though.
Get a translator. I never said I was opposed to hiring BJ. Just that it has some risk.Get a grip, we had George & he was run off by u Baptists caused he liked a cold one. ……..can only imagine what be done to BJ.
I definitely would have taken BJ over this UTsweetwater coach Parks. Oh well lets hope this works out..
Well our past two mid major hires were Fig Newton and Darrin Horne. We'll see what happens. This seems like the general sentiment. Paris seems like a high risk. If we were going to take such a high risk, would rather have taken it on one of our own. I bet our AD and BOT chose Paris mostly because he already has "HC" experience, but not enough to warrant choosing him over BJ IMHO. Anyway, what's done is done. Let's all hope for the best and back our new coach.
